The Netflix version says that it contains sex, violence and gore. I don’t recall anyone getting it on during this episode.

So. Uh. Is this episode not even on the CBS website? I watched on Amazon, but I decided to take a look on the CBS app. I've tried three browsers on four different devices, including a complete clear of my cookies...and the episode simply isn't there. I mean, I'm sure it is there, but this doesn't seem to be specific to a certain browser or machine. I don't get it. :shrug:It just ends with 2x12.
it was on earlier and is down now on mine too. that is odd

i was really fond of this episode for a couple reasons: first the emotional interplay felt earned in a way most of the big heartstring tugs this season haven’t. and second, of course i was taken in by the enterprise.

it’s a great set. it’s so cute that the enterprise crew is done up to be a little more 1960s than the discovery crew. but you know what? i think they kind of went a little overboard. and i’m starting to feel like it’s not discovery that doesn’t belong in whatever timeline this show takes place, it’s the enterprise. i actually breathed a sigh of relief when the few scenes aboard the enterprise ended and we were back aboard discovery - where the production design makes sense.

i take this to mean i’ve finally come to accept discovery the ship as a real place. just in time for it to get taken out of time.
I suspect Season 3 is going to be told from two different perspectives, Enterprise episodes and Discovery episodes. I could be wrong. I don't think they're going to create yet another Trek series but its pretty clear they didn't create all these sets AND make a very obvious "We're not getting rid of Culber this time!" gesture (and the obvious business of why Rebecca Romijn was signed on for a couple of lines in a few episodes). In some ways the show is going to be closer to achieving Fuller's anthology idea.
you may very well be correct. but CBS made such a point of announcing anson mount’s departure from the show, i can only take that to be big troll/non-confirmation confirmation of a pike spin-off.

if either one of us is right, i hope they revise the enterprise bridge to be a little less camp. georgiou was wrong about the orange, but she clearly didn’t see the jelly bean buttons. ugh.

CBS hasn't made any announcements in this regard. It was a report from deadline site.

true. but generally deadline doesn’t print rumors or misinformation, it’s one of the major trade publications in hollywood. if the reporting were inaccurate, CBS would’ve put out a correction. i suspect they wanted the story out there, either because it’s true or because it cutely obfuscates their larger plans.

Surprised Section 31 ships don’t have Spore tech. They would have the knowledge to build them.
I imagined the Vengeance to pop in from a spore jump.

i need an episode where georgiou meets alexander marcus and they fall in love and really get this whole section 31 thing going right.

who knows maybe this alexander marcus aint a giant dickhead in the prime reality. we know that after the destruction of vulcan he had people searching and found the botany bay.
