Scifieric's Klingon D7 Work in Progress

Hey everyone! It's been a little while, but I've got a new WIP. All being built in Blender 3D. The windows are just temporary plugs as I will be adjusting them until I think they are a little closer to the placement on the original model. I've got a lot of tweaking to do.

Do you have an old AMT Klingon kit? Again, that was panto-graphed from one of the miniatures so, the shapes should be pretty much spot on.

The manta hull is definitely more complex that most people would realize - until they try to model it. Most 3D models get that wrong, and often VERY wrong.
 
Great work so far bro... I too can account for how deceptively "simple" the shape of the D7's hull is...She's a harsh mistress. I also believe that even Jefferies himself, did not envision the hull as it came out, but rather the model makers of the time "interpreted" his designs as what would be the physical D7 hull.

Yeah, the Enterprise is also like that. Double compound curves and such. They're fun to try, but frustratingly difficult to get right.
