Spoilers Game of Thrones: The Final Season

That's an effective tease. Shows a lot of footage but doesn't really reveal anything beyond basic check-ins with all of our favorite characters. Hell, we don't even get to see the Ice Dragon.

Only one more month to go!

Watched the Trailer like .... 6 times already! 40 days to go. Looks beyond epic!

Can we just omit March this year? Please?

Yeah I thought that was a very effective tease without giving too much away.

A few thoughts:

Great shots of dragons flying overhead of Sansa and Winterfell. All the dragon shots looked spectacular. Was that Danni and Jon exploring beyond the wall?

I know we knew, but it's great to see (almost) everyone converge in one place.

Arya's talk of the faces of death and seeing her kick ass with that spear.

Cersei looking very satisfied with herself. That does not bode well...

Waiting for some epic shot of the walkers at the end... Except we get that ominous undead horse leg. Very effective and teasy.

I think the most outstanding bits were the brief clips of The Hound, Arya, Jamie and Brienne - all in the midst of fire and well... ice! That storm absolutely howling thru all the fire just makes those shots look so kinetic and frenzied. I'm thinking Brienne will definitely be a casualty of that battle. :(

I wonder if we'll get any books before the final season comes out. The wild optimist in me hopes that Martin will actually release the final two books before the final season actually airs.
Wow. I'm generally a pretty optimistic person myself, but I don't hold any such hope. In fact, the only reason, I'm watching the show now is that I've pretty much lost any hope that we'll ever seen an ending from Martin, so the TV show is probably the only ending we'll get.

I like Sam too, I think he'd be good in changing things up for the kingdom.

I feel Night King winning is the devastating lesson that Game of Thrones has continued to teach us over the years. Or maybe the good forces win, only for some up and coming dickhead to wrestle power away with everyone in such weakened states?

I don’t know if this has been posted or not, but it shows different characters sitting on the throne, including the 2 I predicted:

I have been avoiding spoilers but every article I read talks about:

a big battle that took a long time to film, and is the biggest battle ever on TV or movies, in episode 3 of season 8. I assume this is the so called Battle of Winterfell between the living and dead. Interesting that it happens mid season. The follow up episodes probably have to deal with the aftermath, or contain smaller battles.

[LAME ENDING] After every other lead character has been killed and made undead, Sam ends up on the throne after he discovers that the undead can be eliminated by spraying them with salt water -- in the same way as the Triffids in the 1962 movie of The Day of the Triffids. [/LAME ENDING]
