I love Fraser's "...the fuck?" comments.

Why not? There's not much point in doing a Doom Patrol show if you don't embrace its full weirdness.

Was just about to google if he's from the comics or made up for the show like Ezekiel the Cockroach, thanks for saving me the trouble. :D

I guess the Brotherhood of Evil that they mentioned are also a thing?

I wonder if all the people who spell "Rogue" as "Rouge" will spell "Madame Rouge" as "Madame Rogue."

Honestly, I doubt it. Annoying as it is, I understand why some people would think that a word that sounds like "Rogue" would be spelled with an "ou," as in "though" or "dough." It's an incorrect analogy but an understandable one. But I doubt anyone would think that a word sounding like "roozh" would be spelled "Rogue." There's just no phonetic analogy leading to that, correct or incorrect.

Although I suppose it could happen if they only saw the name in writing and never heard it aloud. But that won't apply to people who see the character on TV.

I'm still not used to it, I think it's a stylized effect at first until she chucks one at somebody.

Of course, that's just a whole other level of weird from what I was expecting. Not that it's a bad thing at all, I think it's great to see a show that really embraces that kind of craziness we get in comics from time to time. Of all the current shows that I watch or know about, Legends of Tomorrow is probably the only other one that even comes close.

With comic book shows (especially DC) the weirder/stupider/stranger a character sounds, the more likely it is that its a real thing from the comics. Just take the intro scene from the Lego Batman movie where they listed off a whole slew of ridiculous Batman villains - every one of which was actually created in the comics as a serious villain.

Not all of them. King Tut and Egghead were introduced in the Adam West sitcom. Condiment King was a joke character from Batman: The Animated Series, and the Kabuki Twins were the Penguin's sidekicks in the animated series The Batman. And a number of the comics villains were introduced in the Silver Age when the comics as a whole were not very serious.

I'm super impressed (and a little scared) that you know so much detail. :)

Well, I had to look up which villains were featured in The LEGO Batman Movie.

No offense to Matt Ryan but Mark Sheppard is my “Constantine”.

Willoughby Kipling was created because DC (yeah Doom Patrol was a "straight up" DC book back then) wasn't allowed to use Vertigo characters for some reason. In the comics his appearance was based on Richard E. Grant.

Was wondering why this wasn't Constantine since it's obviously Constantine.
It would have been fun if they did use him here, kind of like a retroactive de-embargoing... :D
