Apparently, according to Deadline, Warner Bros. has moved "Godzilla vs. Kong" from its May 22 2020 opening to March 13 2020.
Considering "King of the Monsters"' release on May 31 of this year, we'll have two live-action Godzilla movies in less than ten months.
Now, if this article is accurate, the reverse has occured with GvK, so can we therefore infer a lack of confidence in that film, or is that just my own doubts about it talking?

Or maybe it has to do with competition from other films coming out in that slot. Although it looks like the only films scheduled for May 22, 2020 are Fast and Furious 9 and yet another Spongebob movie.
Wonder Woman 2 is out 2 weeks after that original May date and since that's also a WB movie they probably just didn't wanna compete with themselves.
Hopefully releasing these two so close together won't bite Warner in the ass the same way releasing The Last Jedi and Solo did Disney.Apparently, according to Deadline, Warner Bros. has moved "Godzilla vs. Kong" from its May 22 2020 opening to March 13 2020.
