Okay cheers. I'm still working on details so his age may change, but I'm sadly killing him off so....*spoiler*, but thanks for the help.

No. Burnham doesn't count becasue Discovery doesn't count as Star Trek.

But what is odd about that statement is that there are three women on the bridge at the time he says that: the yeoman, Number One, and the hot chick at the science station. There are nine men including himself on the bridge at that point. That means when Pike says he's not used to women on the bridge, roughly 1/4 of the people there are women. Really, Chris? Really?

The obvious thing here is that Pike by all rights should be unaccustomed to Yeoman Colt being a woman.

After all, Pike is no doubt used to having a Yeoman hovering around him at the bridge - Kirk had that, after all. And Pike is used to having a Yeoman who is a man - more specifically, a Yeoman who is the lad who died on Rigel VII. Losing the kid clearly hurt Pike a lot. And now Colt is getting the fallout from that, her damning sin being that she is not him.

Apparently, three years is enough for Pike to get over losing his trusty Yeoman. And for Spock to get rid of his limp, I supposed (although we're still waiting for onscreen proof there).

The actual big question here is, where is Pike's Yeoman in DSC S2? Indeed, where was Lorca's in DSC S1?

That’s not the point, and I’m pretty sure you know that.

I saw a comment on a question on the Quora question and answer website about Voyager and Deep Space 9. In the comment it said that all the Maquis were pardoned on Deep Space 9 and therefore it shouldn't be an issue that needed to be resolved on Voyager. Because they would have already heard about it when they started making regular contact with Starfleet.

Well there are some episodes of DS9 that I missed. But I don't remember ever hearing it mentioned on Voyager that they had received this information. Was it ever mentioned at any time after Pathfinder?

DS9 ended the maquis issue by having the Dominion wipe the DMZ and the badlands clean. No actual maquis was shown to have survived long enough to be pardoned onscreen. Though it definitely sounds like a story the novels would tell.

It's not about her being a woman - it's about her being everything he is not - a beautiful girl vs a guy he would never be attracted to/distracted by, new to him with her own personality and quirks, work style, voice, etc to get used to. It feels like the guy he worked with is being replaced, like if you had a beloved pet that died and suddenly your parents try to replace it with a new puppy. Everybody else goes on, but you can't because this is not the same for you.

He knew what Pike liked, what Pike didn't, maybe even a close friend/confidant. Now he has to open up to a new person, and learn about them too.

Wow, really? Out of morbid curiosity, what excuse (if any) do they use to justify wildly different uniforms sandwiched between two eras where the uniforms are almost exactly the same?

Those weren't the original standard uniforms the main crew were wearing when the show started, though.

What was their excuse for these being wildly different?
