Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

People with eleven items go to the ten or less item check out lane, hoping it will pass. Sometimes it does, sometimes they're told to pick up their stuff and go to another lane. I don't why they keep doing that. It seems like a lot of hassle for nothing.

Better than one time I was behind a couple with two cartfuls of groceries in the 10 Items or Fewer lane!

I'd rather be behind a person with 11 items in a 10 item lane than be behind a coupon lawyer.

Only one person ahead of you in line? No problem, right? Except he's come equipped with twenty coupons, half of which are expired and half of which are from a competitor, and he has interpreted them to give him bigger discounts than they actually do. So he will sit there and try to argue down every single item on the list. It will take ten minutes, and he will end up saving $2.45.

Home made Donna kebabs tonight, really looking forward to it. No doubt the Fusspot will turn his nose up at it, say blech at it, moan though the meal, arms crossed, and then gingerly try a nibble, raise his thumbs in approval, devour the lot and then demand it every day. He’s got form.

Life is so short! When I think of how old I am and how fast it's gone, I sometimes feel desperation. I can see myself on my death bed asking: "You call that a life! Are you f. Kidding me?"

When I worked in a big city I used to like the chicken nuggets from a well-known fast food chain, now I can barely stand the sight of them... (Maybe the documentaries I saw have something to do with it).

How about trying to make them yourself? All you need is leftover chicken bits, something to glue them together (egg or milk) and a few spices, breading or batter and a frying pan.

I'm in so totally not a mood for work today. I think I'll go home a bit earlier than usual. Flexi time is really a great invention :)

Years ago when I did my internship with the forest service back in Alaska, there was a boat docked in a harbor called "All My $$$"

When you wander into a recommended video and having been posted less than a day ago, it's already up over 3.5 million views... and you say to yourself, WHY?

Talk about being thrown into the fire.

My housemate refuses to learn how to use my snowblower, so this Winter has been interesting while using crutches and a one-shovel-wide path in relatively deep snow.

Today was one of our largest snowfall of the year and since I got my crutchless walking privileges back I went to and cleared what I could of the driveway...quite a bit wider than it was before.

Strange that our town's snowplows haven't been through at all yet. They're normally through several times per day on days like this. Hell, last week or the week before we hardly got a dusting and the plows were out destroying the pavement!
