That's not a parody. It's Leonard Nimoy's insight into Spock's character. Assuming that bearded guy is Spock at the 1:37-mark, he's fighting what looks like three people at once. Not a lot of time to neck pinch three people who are coming right at you.
And there is such a thing as Vulcan martial arts, from "Journey to Babel", known as Tal-shaya.
As far as the Vulcan Hello, I agree that Spock is generally non-violent but that's specific to his character, not necessarily Vulcans from centuries ago who might've been looking for a pragmatic response to the Klingons. Sarek tried to dissuade Burnham from using the same response to the Klingons.

Oh cute, another Major Grin video biased against DISCOVERY.
He did release another video recently that wasn't against but a theory that connects something Sarek said in TNG to it.
The Vulcans, like many other prominent Star Trek races, were perceived by fans as so monolithic that the reality seldom, if ever, lived up to those perceptions. Fans love to dig their heels in an say "All Vulcans were logical pacifists." Simply not true.

Yup. Like I mentioned in another thread about how Vulcans claim to never lie, except they have numerous times when the situation called for it.
It's always struck me as odd that a fanbase dedicated to a show that supposedlly embraces/embodies diversity so often stereotypes so dramatically and so absolutely.

"Humans are all more evolved"
"Klingons are always honorable"
"Romulans are all just scheming dicks"
This isn't Dungeons and Dragons....these are supposed to be entire races that have massive and diverse populations.

Spock is definitely capable of deception, violent aggression, rule breaking and so on. The Menagerie is a case in point. He committed a ton of crimes (against his own crew members) in order to help Pike. And he wasn't under an alien influence or otherwise externally influenced.
I think we can blame the Berman era for playing up to that in some respects, like the how Vulcans and Romulans ALL having the same goddamn bowlcut hairtsyle just because that's what Spock had. It's actually a relief that Tim Russ wasn't subjected to one of those wigs and went by his own natural hair.
Right? Do we want to count how many times they say "Vulcans don't lie" and how many times they actually have?
Seems like he's got reason to feel that way, but you didn't care to evaluate what the video says.

Not all "reasons" are valid. There is a thing called intellectual dishonesty.
Arguing from a standpoint where that person misrepresents something (either intentionally or through wanton ignorance) in order to support their argument is fallacious.
This person is being intellectually dishonest by asserting that real Star Trek is different than DSC (for "reasons"), when in reality his reasons for being against DSC could equally apply to being against other Trek Series and films.

I watched the whole video, and just like all his other videos, he likes to frame things in a way that makes DISCO seem more contradictory than it actually is. Like the bit about Burnham blowing out holographic candles, cut to TNG characters being amazed at how "real" the holodeck was, as if to imply holographic tech did not exist in the 23rd century, therefore DISCO is breaking canon.

I think TOS is good enough that it doesn't need the gate-keeping some people insist on giving it. It's not as if liking DSC is going to change what I think of TOS. And it's not as if the existence of DSC is going to change the standing of TOS in the History of Television.
I watched the interview not just because I wanted to see what it had to do with DSC (very little, by the way) but also because, believe it or not, I happen to like watching vintage interviews of the TOS Cast. You don't see interviews with them from the '60s or early-'70s very often.

I liked the interview. Always cool to see Leonard out of character, and interviewed about not only Spock, but also his life and career.
Rolled my eyes at the way it was framed. There is the TOS that lives in certain fans' minds, tinted with rose colored nostalgia, and then there's the TOS that was actually filmed, readily available across many different formats. Same goes for Spock -- every thing rabid fans insist He Would Never Do, you can find examples of Him Doing Just That Very Thing.
(Cue the fanbase: "It was the spores!" Or the virus, or the entity, or the dire nature of the situation, or...)
