It’s a big shift from the live-action approaches of the first four installments. Are they testing the waters and seeing what works and what doesn’t work with regard to modern animated Trek? Was it more of a creative “Hey, why not?” kind of a decision?
I’m generally not a big fan of Western animation, but it’s Star Trek, so I’m looking forward to it anyway, of course. Just wondering if I’ve missed any official word on this decision.
