I personally think the Tilly short trek takes place later this season. We'll see as more episodes air.
Well, if the preview for next episode is any indication, it will be picking up right where this one left off. Time will tell.
Yeah, finally. During the off season months fly by like weeks but now weeks feel like months.

I know what you mean - when season 1 came along it reignited my interest in Star Trek generally, and now season 2 is doing the same.
So she's a "Synthetically Augmented Human/Alien Hybrid"

I'm thinking about going to Ticonderoga to see the Enterprise for my 40th Birthday in August. A birthday ending in a zero needs Something Big and what better way to celebrate than on board the Enterprise?
On my 30th Birthday, I went to the Top of the Hub, a restaurant on the 52nd Floor of a skyscraper in Boston with a skyline view.
So last time, I shot for the sky. This time I'm shooting for the stars.
I think it would be a wonderful running gag if they just refuse to expound on Airiam at all. Just say nothing. It's like the DS9 joke that Mourn never shuts up.
Which is more than we ever saw of Niles wife Maris on Frasier. Of course, it would probably would have been impossible to find an actual human being who could fit Maris's description. The funny thing is that Morn is a homage to Norm the recurring Character from Cheers that keeps talking about his wife Vera that we never see.
Well, it's not entirely true. For a long time, we never see her at all, then we hear her talk, through phone and then off-screen, we see her legs and finally, we almost see her entirely but for a cream pie that's stuck in her face!

God what is with damn near every Youtube reviewer of this show literally calling it "SJW propaganda" seriously what the **** are they even watching? Discovery's biggest goddamn issue is it's lack of exploration of social, moral and political concepts, yet you would think watching youtube reviewers, the show is "Star Trek kill all white men" and some antifa plot to brainwash America into Rainbow haired Communism. Hilariously even more stupid because the TMP novelisation long with early TNG was basically flat out a far-leftist vision of the future. I would love to see the meltdown of these idiots if Discovery implemented some of Genes more radical ideas explored in the TMP novelisation.
It would be nice for some reviewers to actually review this show properly without either just kissing it's ass like Trekspertise and Shives or calling it "SJW propaganda" like seemingly everyone else.
I've only seen like, 3 reviews of this show that actually reviewed it without massive what seems culture war based biases, RLM, Ketwolski and Oliver Harper

While I love Trekyards for their ship reviews, they get way too bogged down in trying to explain lore stuff with their actual show reviews. More interested for reviews based on the show's technical merits.TrekYards doesn’t use any of those terms or complain about that stuff in their reviews. Go watch them.
Well next week’s episode seems to be a Saru oneOne thing that concerns me is that thus far, S2 has not made good use of Saru and Stamets. Like...at all. They've been nothing more than window dressing.
Seems odd given that they were consistently thought of as fan favorites.

I don't need a Saru-centric or a Stamets-centric episode. I just want them contributing with the others as more of an ensemble.Well next week’s episode seems to be a Saru one
Didn't Stamets factor in exorcising the Spore ghost and capturing the asteroid?I don't need a Saru-centric or a Stamets-centric episode. I just want them contributing with the others as more of an ensemble.
Admittedly, Saru has been "sort of" front-and-center in the ensemble action, but not Stamets. Brooding/depressed Stamets got old real fast, and they need to get him back up to being excited about adventure, so he can join in on the action with the rest of the cast.
He did, but I still think they (the entire main cast) needs to be more team-like, with all acting together to solve problems. As I said, I would also rather have that than having specific character-centric episodes in lieu of that.Didn't Stamets factor in exorcising the Spore ghost and capturing the asteroid?
