I've seen a bunch of cancellation rumors flying around about this show that spark from a tweet from Anson Mount https://twitter.com/ansonmount/status/1089410129080967170 .

The rumor is analyzed here:

I think it makes sense that it would be cancelled because of the section 31 series and Picard series. I find it highly unlikely that they would have 3 running star trek series at once.

Read Mount's follow-up tweet, which is just about as withering of such rumors as can be:

Yes, we have been found out. The trolls have successfully used their mail-order decoder pins to decipher the TRUTH behind my devious, hint-laden tweets. And thank goodness for their insight given Hollywood’s famous ability to keep secrets.

Edited to add quote and also reinforce how poor a source Nerdrotic is.

it makes no sense.

kurtzman was just talking about season 3 at the TCA yesterday. anson mount may not be back for season 3, don’t know, but he replied pretty savagely on twitter to someone asking if that tweet meant the show was canceled.

other thoughts:

it’s too early in the season for the show to be canceled.

there wouldn’t be a rush to make spin-offs if the show was canceled.

it would be a black eye for CBS AA if the show was canceled.

and etc.

ain't my rumor. I mostly ignored the rumor until it dawned on me that there's 2 other series in the works and not likely to have 3 at once.
The Picard one seems to be a mini-series and they wouldn’t air them all at once, they’ll likely space them out over the year to keep people subscribed year round. Given that subscription numbers are higher when Discovery is on, I doubt it’s in any danger of cancellation.

I’ll never get the desire to see a show end out of spite.

Why do you watch that Nerdrotic crap?

Why do you need external validation for your own opinion? There’s no need to invent a fantasy world where the show is a disaster, just don’t watch it. You don’t need it cancelled in order to stop watching. Just stop and find a show you do enjoy.
let’s cut @marsh8472 some slack, fake news - even star trek fake news - is pernicious.

Na I've watched everything star trek all my life, not going to stop. I consider myself mostly unbias. No fantasy here but is there any fantasy coming from people who think there's nothing wrong with the series and everything is going swell?

Exactly. People have a serious case of "stop liking what I don't like," and these YouTube charlatans make money off it.

Yes, it’s impossible that people feel differently about the show than you. We’re all extensions of your ego, which is now denser than a neutron star.
