It’s set before TOS, but it is its own story. Like how that recent King Kong movie is set in the same universe as the Godzilla reboot but isn’t a prequel to that.

That's what some fans want to believe, but it doesn't fit the actual narrative. The point of the series finale was that the fusion of human and Cylon was (probably) the thing that broke the endless cycle of repetition. If there were to be a new conflict between human and AI, it would be in our near future. The remake wasn't a prequel to the original series -- it was a prequel to us.

What?? Where did you get that from?? Shazad Latif played both characters. Javid Iqbal who was credited as playing Voq was a pseudonym used by Latif to hide the fact that tyler was indeed Voq

Technically, it's a model for a Spock costume, so not supposed to be exactly Spock.
And Peck looks far better than that.

I am too. I wish she didn't even have to dignify that kind of speculation with a response... those are the last two characters who'd sleep with their own sibling, even a foster or adopted sib. The Westermarck effect (in most cases) prevents that sort of thing from happening.

TPTB gave out false information once and while I personally don't believe in Spock/Burnham romance theories, just because we have confirmation that there was no romance, doesn't necessarily mean that confirmation turns out true
