Name That STAR TREK Episode...

No to both. Both excellent guesses.

Not Cage/Menagerie
(that's actually 3 guesses in one - clever) Good thinking that the distress call proved to be a fake.

Not Corbomite Maneuver.
Balok's distress signal was also a fake, but not the correct answer.

Friday's Child. The Enterprise receives two distress calls but Scotty ignores the second.

Which I always found to be specious: Why believe the first one and not the second? For all, he knows it could be completely unrelated.

It would be like the fire department refusing to answer a distress call because they just fell for a prank call!!!

Winner for Marsden: The Trouble with Tribbles is correct. Only Clue: Uh, oh. Another distress call. Or is it?
Captain's Log, stardate 4523.3. Deep Space Station K7 has issued a priority one call. More than an emergency, it signals near or total disaster. We can only assume the Klingons have attacked the station. We're going in armed for battle.
...
KIRK: Mister Lurry, if there's no emergency, why did you issue a priority one distress call?

I think Enterprise received more bogus calls than real distress calls. :wtf:

Marsden is next up.

I had some help with everyone else guessing all the other episodes.

First Clue

1. The Jailbreakers

A Piece of the Action
1. Kirk and Spock get away from the mob several times/
2. Scott is clueless about the lingo, like blower.

You got it!

The Jailbreakers are the name of the band on the radio before Spock picks up the microphone to call the Enterprise.

SPOCK: Very simple. Amplitude modulation transmission. I simply adjust the frequency, throw this switch, and the Enterprise should answer.
VOICE [OC]: That was the Jailbreakers with their latest recording on Request Time, brought to you by Bang-Bang, the makers of the sweetest little automatic in the world

You're up, Sphereboy.
