Ouch!Did you dislocate your thumb or tear a ligament? You should see a doctor about that.
I have no idea what I've done with it. I haven't jammed it at all, but I do have a habit of using it for tiny work with a lot of pressure.

Ah that sucks. Hate when AV's do that. Had to uninstall and reinstall Avast because it was doing that.If I remember correctly, it just hogged resources too much. I know it wasn't recently enough to be a Win10 1803 issue, but I'm not sure.
Bought a pack of mineral water, plus plenty of other things... Turns out it's a brand whose bottles look very much like the brand I like but taste terrible (at least I think so)... So I returned to the store which is at a distance, plus the traffic, just to get water! I don't know what to do with the other pack though... Any ideas?
I hate when I do that. There's a soft drink I used to get that came in sugared and sugar-free. The packages were too similar.
About your mineral water: does it have electrolytes? I hear plants need electrolytes.
Frustrating, when the larder is well stocked, but there’s nothing to snack on.
They say it's volcano water, which I can believe because it tastes like lava, IE dirt. I really can't stand the taste. I'd give it to someone but I feel bad about giving something I hate... even if the person who receives it says they like it. Plus it's kinda cheap. I guess most water contains electrolytes, that's why people with their feet in water get electrocuted if they touch an electric wire. That happened to a singer in France. He was taking a bath and had the stupid Idea of touching a dysfunctioning sconce... He died.
Tinned and dried veg mostly. Beans and pulses, tomatoes. Tinned soups. Cooking sauces, herbs, spices, pasta, rice, various flour, syrups, dried fruit. I’ve got eggs, fresh veg, fruit, yogurt. Tinned mackerel, anchovies, shredded crab, tuna and salmon. Jars of pickled cockles and muscles. Olives. Capers, bamboo shoots, lime pickle, lime jelly, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, coconut milk, oyster sauce, passata, instant gravy, stock pots, stock cubes, curry powder, a Christmas pudding and some cereal. What is it stocked with then?
I got the reference. I usually don’t, but this one I got.Sorry, bad joke...

I suppose I could boil an egg or make toast, but i’m craving something meaty, savoury. Even a pot noodle would do.
Usually I go by bicycle but atm the roads are too slippery so that I walk. It's not far, only a 20 minutes walk.
The way you describe the pain in your finger joint sounds a bit like arthrosis to me. Does it hurt like a wasp sting (sharp and burning sensation) when you apply pressure to the sides of the joint but doesn't hurt when you apply pressure from the top? If so, welcome to the clubI've had arthrosis in my fingers and toes for more than 15 years now. It can't be healed but its progress can be slowed down a lot.
The thumb problem sounds like damaged cartilage to me. You should see your GP or an orthopedist about it to prevent further damage. The thumb is the most important finger and if you cause lasting damage you'll find you'll have problems with almost everything, from opening jars to holding a toothbrush.
Good ideaI keep my fingers crossed that the surgery goes well.
Thanks!
11 days to go...
