Definite New Series/Limited Series with Patrick Stewart Returning

Beverly would be 75 years old and Wesley 50.

Gates McFadden is nearly 70 and IMO, still a smoking hot woman ;);). She can play a 70+ Bevelry Crusher w/no problem!!

Picard wasn't even the same person in 2364 that he was in 2327. He went from a brash, smug and loudmouthed jerk who almost got himself killed in a bar brawl to one of the most cerebral and analytical starship captains in the Federation. Who knows how his life has further changed in the 20 years since Nemesis. If he does indeed marry Beverly in the aftermath of that movie and retire from active duty that new life could well transform him into yet a third unique version of the character, one no longer constrained by the rules and regulations of being a Starfleet Captain and being both a protector and father figure to hundreds of crewmembers.

This is totally true.

Let's just hope he has changed for the better

That's too weird.

Picard's age doesn't really register with me because I always perceived him as "older". But how old Beverly and Wesley Crusher would be? That just reminds you of how much time has passed.

It's weird

Wil Wheaton is actually 46 though and still looks pretty fresh faced

I think his relatively thin, patchy beard helps him keep having that "lazy college student" vibe.

IMHO more recently he is looking a bit older, since his hair is starting to thin a bit. But still more like mid 30s than mid 40s.

I wonder as they keep on saying this show is very different from the others before, does that mean this show has nothing to do with Starfleet? Nothing to do with starships? They did say he may not be a Captain anymore and previous storylines point to him being an ambassador of the Federation later in life? He is now a diplomat about to retire? Or just a retired disillusioned diplomat?

Finally, Alex Kurtzman comes out and declares that his team will finally respect and honor a piece of Star Trek lore.

...his own.

And the problem is? His piece of Trek lore is just as valid as those contributed by any other writer. Why would you not expect him to continue the story he started?

The concept that entered his mind is that he is the writer/producer, and he gets to frame the narrative. And he is correct.
Like he was correct in writing Khan as a white British guy who was driven to commit acts of genocide on inferior beings? Hard to support the idea that he'll honor and respect other writers' contributions when everything I just described to you doesn't describe the original Khan in any way.

And now that I think about it, this brings up an interesting prospect. If for some reason Khan is going to be mentioned in the new Picard series, which Khan will it be?
