Name That STAR TREK Episode...

Nice grab. :techman::bolian: (I love the way Spock pushes the book aside when Kirk offers it, which always implied to me that he had it, or the pertinent portions thereof, memorized.)
The inclusion of that book is weird. And who had the precognition to bring it to the meeting BEFORE the Romulans change course toward the comet.
Mirror, Mirror?
No.
Edit to add: No to @Phaser Two as well
---------------------------
Second clue: A little fireside exposition.

You're right. But I view it as a charming S1 quirk while they were still figuring things out.

Mmm, sounds like The Paradise Syndrome. Kirk dons the ritual garb of the medicine chief, and there is at least one discussion concerning the "Wise Ones" or "Old Ones" and the obelisk that I believe - it's been a while on this one for me - takes place by a fire.

What? No! How could you get that episode out of the clues?
First clue: In a different uniform.
Second clue: A little fireside exposition.

I misread "exposition" as "explosion"... and it made me think of Kirk making gunpowder...

A Private Little War.

Native costumes and fire in the cave and in the forge.

A final clue before bed:
Red v Green and Blue v Gold

Ah. Bread and Circuses. Great clues.

The different uniform is either Merik's outfit or the Slave T-Shirts that Septimus and his folks, and then later K/S/McC wear. There's some exposition with the proconsul (an absolutely delightful villain) by a fire (lit torches?), and the shields are colored in the arena when Spock and McCoy fight. I think Spock has red and McCoy has blue (?). Their opponents must have the other colors you mentioned.

Yes, I was referencing the slave uniforms, with the chain-imprinted t-shirts and tassel-belted pants.

Actually, the meeting with Septimus takes place around a cook-fire.

Correct. Spock's shield is red, McCoy's is blue, Flavius's is gold and the un-named fourth's is green.

Well done. Your turn.

Thanks! Dunno how well I really did though, since I got the fire scene wrong. :borg: :ouch: I don't watch B&C much, which is odd because it has the stuff I like: great acting from the main cast, good guest actors, strong dialogue like the Spock-McCoy scene in the jail cell and even Scotty in command. Add that to my list of ones I really need to rewatch along with (currently) Adonais, The Apple and Metamorphosis. Nice pick.

Okay, next up.

Clue 1: Someone may have had a donut in mind.
