If you think about it, the fact they were able to reuse some of the very same footage ILM created for the Pilot 8 years prior is a testament to their work.

I think that depends on whether you consider it a successful reuse... IIRC the last time I rewatched GEN (Blu ray, 50" tv) the stock footage was unfortunately obvious. Perhaps not to someone new to the film?

I was wondering what my fellow TNG fans like about the Galaxy class; either about the design or the ship's abilities. I feel like the class gets a lot of undue hatred, and that ain't right.

The first time I saw Generations, which was on VHS on a 19-inch TV in the mid-90’s, the stock footage was obvious by how yellow the E-D looked compared to the other shots that were more blue. Someone forgot to adjust the colours on those shots.
