Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

(For the record, I read as many words of your post as you read of the article I posted. That's just me giving me giving your posts the exact same consideration that you gave mine.)

If only THAT had been the leaked photos (and what she actually looks like throughout the series)....

Now, is that Netflix International?

Glad to see this on Netflix. I am secretly hoping that the DC streaming service fails because I would like to see more collaborations with Netflix and other streaming networks. This fragmentation of services is going to ultimately be bad for production of such series. I don't like what happened with the Marvel Netflix series, and I think it would be better for viewers and the corporations if a less specialized streaming service worked with DC/WB to produce quality content. Not saying Titans is quality as I haven't seen it.

That said, I have seen the pilot episode of Titans. My kids really want to watch the series. They are pre-teens and we are pretty liberal in judging what they can watch because they are pretty good in knowing what is too intense for them. Other than the F-bomb in the pilot, are there other F**** words that come up in later episodes? Sex and nudity? Does the violence get more graphic?

An occasional 'fuck' pops up every once in a while, people do have sex in it, but nothing elaborate or explicit though, it just cuts away after some kissing. There's no frontal nudity, there are briefly naked people from the back standing in shadows in one episode. The graphicness of violence is pretty much on the same level as in the pilot.

I have to admit, I was a bit surprised they did this as just a DC Comics thing rather than devoting it to all of Warner Bros. I looked through Wikipedia's list of WB released movies since the 1980s and here are some of the franchise they have access to, Mad Max, Looney Tunes, Mars Attacks!, DC, Hanna-Barbera, Harry Potter, The Matrix, Inception, Pacific Rim, The Hobbit (although we already know a Middle Earth series is going to be on Amazon Prime, so that would probably be out). Now I don't know for sure how many they actually own, but they have to have at least a few, and pretty much all of them have potential for a streaming series.

Thanks. Maybe I will watch a few episodes on my own. I'm not a prude with my 'tweens but I know there are subjects that make them uncomfortable--and they don't like horror movies so Raven's Trigon arc alone may be enough to scare them off--so maybe we'll stick with waiting for Captain Marvel and the real Captain Marvel in the next few months.

Just saw it pop up on Netflix so I am having a binge.......flying tomorrow so I will download what I don't get to tonight on the iPad......I'm 3 in and enjoying it so far.

I am quite sure DC did not expect to turn a profit for a few years, starting with NO ORIGINAL content. They have several shows in production now. Not really going to take tweets from unknown sources too seriously.

I demand a 6 month old service to make the same amount of profits as any company that's been up and running for 10 years, and if it doesn't, why then it's a failure!! Burnz it with fire! And stick it with a pitchfork! Trigon's pitchfork! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaarrg!

They might not have as many subscriptions as they would've liked, but, there's also the licensing fees that Netflix is paying DC to air it internationally.

My big wonder, if rumbles that Warners is going to have a streaming service, would DC Universe content be on it? If so, then, why would if get DC Universe? If not... wouldn't that devalue the Warners streaming service?

But, yeah, until there's more information, and time passed, I don't think anyone should be calling it a failure yet.
