Excellent Guest Stars Of TNG...

Elizabeth Dennehy as Shelby.

She appears in one two part episode with rumors that if Picard had left the show she would have stayed on as Commander, and those rumors have captured fans' imagination ever sense.

Carl Struycken as Mr Homn. A character with no lines yet somehow carries it with such presence he steals the spotlight from the background.

I love this pick. Also the line he did say was the best moment of the entire episode. :rommie:

Harry Groener's turn as Tam Elbrun in Tin Man has always been a personal favourite, though I'm aware I might be in a minority with that!

I'd certainly concur with many of the others mentioned so far, too. TNG got quality guest stars pretty much throughout.

Well, obviously Majel Barrett and John de Lancie in recurring roles. But for one-episode guest appearances, how about William O. Campbell as Captain Thadiun Okona ("The Outrageous Okona"). A tour de force for sure. Data (season 2) picked up a lot from him.

I, too, enjoyed Harry Groener's performance in "Tin Man", although I remember him better for playing the mayor in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I didn't know Walter Gotell guest starred in a TNG episode, "Home Soil", until I saw it for the first time the other night on H&I. Gotell often played a Russian general in the James Bond movies.

<NerdMode>He played General Gogol, head of the KGB, in a few Moore Bonds, most notably The Spy Who Loved Me, one Dalton Bond, and first appeared in From Russia With Love as a SPECTRE henchman.</NerdMode>

He was good value in that ep, too. He tended to be wherever he popped up.

Good call! I remember seeing him the 1st time & thinking, "Now that's the kind of guy who should be on Star Trek"

Not that I mind Saul Rubinek as Fajo. I actually think he's terrific, but in the same way that Carl Struycken, Ted Cassidy, Michael Dunn, & even little Clint Howard are the kinds of actors who I secretly hope to find Star Trek cast, so too David Rappaport would've been

One of my favorite TNG scenes is in Gambit when an almost 7' Klingon, played by former LA Laker James Worthy just towers over Worf :guffaw:

Leonard Nimoy as Spock in Unification
Mark Lenard as Sarek in Unification and Sarek.
James Doohan as Scotty in Relics
Bob Gunton as Benjamin Maxwell in The Wounded.
David Warner as Gul Madred in Chain of Command
Ronny Cox as Captain Edward Jellico in Chain of Command
Terry O' Quinn as Admiral Eric Pressman in The Pegasus
Shannon Fill as Cadet/Esign Sito Jaxa in The First Duty and Lower Decks

Tricia O'Neil als Rachel Garrett and a Klingon named Kurak. She also portrayed a Cardassian in DS9. As for the different make-ups I didn't realize it was the same actress.

Amanda McBroom as Phillipa Louvois and Brian Brophy as Bruce Maddox.
Both reappeared in the Novelverse. The Buried Age gave Louvois a background story involving Picard's court-martial following the loss of the Stargazer. And Maddox showed up in Immortal Coil.
Sadly, both never reappeared in another episode or Trek show.....

Yup, he was Dr. Mora, the guy who found Odo and then helped Odo with the young changeling in "The Begotten"

He was also Jetrel who was a true nemesis of Nelix.

Sloyan also played K'mtar in the TNG episode "Firstborn". He's popped up in a lot of Trek shows and episodes. He's a great character actor and always enjoyed his appearances.

In light of Discovery was Phillipa a popular girl's name. Name your daughter after famous Starfleet Captains.

Yes both McBroom and Brophy are good and could have come back.
