Yes, I have read them all though the ones that were available as audio books I listened to. I especially liked those that were narrated by Rene Auberjonois. The current one I am reading as an eBook. This is the 18th in the series.
^ I might give the rest a go sometime in the future. I enjoyed Relic a lot but didn't like Reliquary as much. I am now reading Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. It's really good thus far!
I am currently reading ‘The Machine of Death’ which is a collection of short stories by various authors all based on the same premise - a machine has been invented that can tell from a blood sample how a person will die. The machine gives only a single word or short sentence and does not indicate when the person will die. Some of causes of death listed have been old age, cancer, shot, murder, suicide, love, joy.
I finished reading all seven books of Elizabeth Moon's KY VATTA series. I had read books 1-5 before and liked them very much. Sill like them. However, I found books six, COLD WELCOME, to be pure drudgery. I just felt it plodded along for far too long. If I hadn't already bought book seven, INTO THE FIRE, I might not have bothered reading it. I'm glad I did read it. I just wish Moon had cut book six to half of what it was and included a big chunk from books seven into six, and that would have let her room in seven to close out some open questions. Perhaps she's setting it up for book eight. Not at all sure where she can go with the story, seeing some of the changes she made to the main characters in book seven.
That book is on my Wishlist at Audible. I am continuing with ‘The Machine of Death’ on my Kindle. My printed read is a biography of Edward Lear ‘Mr Lear’ by Jenny Uglow. Current audiobook is ‘The Cats’ by Nick Sharman, narrated by Richard Peterson. It is this month’s book that I have chosen from the books mentioned in ‘Paperbooks from Hell: The Twisted History of ‘70s and ‘80s Horror Fiction’ by Grady Hendrix.
I read that book back in high school. I don't remember what happened, but I remember that I loved it!
Paperback horror fiction from the 70s/80s is my guilty pleasure. Unfortunately since ‘Paperbacks From Hell’ was publish the price of many of these paperback have skyrocketed. I also like 70s/80s cataclysmic disaster novels.
Just started reading The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton described as Agatha Christie mixed with Groundhog Day. Just finished In The Company of Sherlock Holmes, a collection of short stories inspired by the Holmes canon.
Currently reading Caliban's War, the second book in the Expanse series. I am really enjoying the series thus far.
