Things that frustrate us all

Chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio...

I hesitated between that and pear-chocolate, three kinds of chocolates, strawberry-vanilla plus a few others... there was also creme brulee but it was last years cake.
The three kinds of chocolate sounds extremely yummy! But then again, all of them sounds yummy!

When you type a response to a post making an argument for someone and people respond with some rolleye meme or something.

People who do that are obnoxious, childish assholes. If you think I’m wrong about something, say why and make some ****ing effort to debate my point or STFU.

We've all been in that situation at one point or another.

Well, the meme was actually intended to be a lighthearted joking retort at first, but you threw a fit over it. Maybe you should try lightening up a bit.

You could have also said this to me directly instead of running over here to say it instead, so I'm not really sure how much of a high ground you have.

Which one of your arguments have I not been willing to debate? It's not that they're so brilliant that they defy rebuttal or something. This one was just more exceptionally dumb than most and was based on your singular personal anecdote which is pointless to disprove since it's evidence of nothing, so it really wasn't worth the effort.

Garbage pickup day falling on a holiday. My trash can is just sitting out next to road and I got more trash to put in it and I can't because some fool went and invented a calendar and hourglass.

Saw the mailman from a distance after his passage so I was hopeful he put what I was waiting for in my mailbox. No such luck!

Fussy eaters. The ones who not only won’t try anything new, but also decide they don’t like something halfway through eating it, having previously loved it. The ones that dont like spicy food, except spicy sausage, and argue that spicy sausage isn’t spicy. The ones that usually do like something when they actually try it, and it becomes their favourite until they have it again and have decided they didn’t like it after all, without trying it!

How can one child be so selective and stubborn, and the other child put olives, anchovies, cockles, scotch eggs and whatever, on the same plate as their Christmas pudding?

I just found out that a place I used to work, probably my favorite outside-of-home job I've ever had, closed last year and all of their lighting, grip equipment, cameras, generators, and trucks were sold/auctioned off. :(

This time of the year we eat the traditional "galette des rois" meaning "galette of the kings". I used to buy a very good one at a bakery and just found out that it's out of business. In fact, the place is empty! It's so frustrating! A galette from another bakery will be a pale substitute, however, I will honor the tradition anyway.

I share a house with three other women. One of them is my best friend and we get along great as roomies as well. The second one is really pleasant and nice and likes to cook nice meals for the rest of us. The third one is someone whom I try to avoid to be alone with as much as possible. She lives with us part time because there are some family ties and she has an inherited detrimental neurocognitive disease.
One of the symptoms of the disease is that she can’t grasp how the disease is changing her cognitive abilities and how she relates to other people. And she sends out extremely stressful energy. I’m getting much better at handling how I deal with these aspects but I still find them a bit frustrating.
I learnt today that she is going to be staying with her husband and kid during the weekends from now on, which means that my weekends will get much calmer. I feel a bit guilty for finding her stressful and hard to be around because she just can’t help it. It’s just a part of the symptoms of her disease.

I had to google Galette. It looks delicious!

Boston area traffic. And the helpless feeling that it’s headed for a complete meltdown yet nobody can do anything about it. Take my word for it: Boston Carpocalypse is coming.

Glitter, the beach-sand of the holiday season. My mom wraps gifts in paper that's 80% glitter and then ties ribbon around it that is also covered with glitter. The ribbon I put on my tree this year is covered with glitter--or should I say, WAS. It's now in every nook and cranny of my house. I have swept, vacuumed and mopped my floors downstairs and still, I see glitter shimmering away in defiance, popping up in random spots of my kitchen. I spend the afternoon chasing the crap down, muttering things like, "Come here, you shiny fucker!"

And after all that, there, in the corner, I see more of it, flashing in the sunlight, back in the spot I just vacuumed. The bastard. I know it's doing this just to piss me off.

I think my refrigerator is dying, and if it is, I have to talk to my stubborn landlord about replacing it who every time he comes in the apartment makes comments about every speck of dust on the floor. *Grumble*.
