Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

There's a ditch on my way to the running path. If I hesitate ever so slightly before skipping over it, chances are I'll trip and fall or at least will have some difficulties staying on my feet. If I go there without a second thought as if it was the most natural thing in the world, I'll pass it without a problem. It's really a case where hesitation is the only thing that kills the deal. It's kind of a metaphor for life.

Sounds like Kirk in Generations.

I am not sure. Kirk said he was scared each time. I am not scared, I just know that the timider I am when I get there the more likely I will have problems getting over it. Given the size of his hole, hesitation would mean getting badly wounded or even dying for him and/or his horse.

The results may be different and even the specific emotions involved, but it does sound similar to me.

I had a bunch of stuff to get rid of that wasn't moving through cheaper means, so I started selling them on eBay. I hadn't sold anything in a while. Did people just stop leaving feedback? I've only gotten feedback from 20% of the buyers. Also, a lot of sellers I've bought from don't leave feedback either, even after I've left them some.

I am planning a ski trip for February. I hope the weather will be favorable, IE Cold and Sunny, with the snow with just the right texture.

My abs are really getting a workout from all the coughing that I've been doing. I feel like I've done a few rounds with a vertically challenged person.

Now Netflix is removing things that criticize dictators when the dictators complain.

May have to drop Netflix soon, almost all the things I watched on it moved to Prime anyway.

Does anyone use over-the-counter stuff (hair products, skin products, diet pill, sleeping pill, medicine, whatever) that you don't even know if it actually works, but you keep buying it anyway because it's what you've been using?

@Aragorn : no, I don't think so. I tried several kinds of lotion, shampoo, deodorant, etc, before settling on a brand I liked best. I can stop taking my allergy poll and notice the difference. The only thing that I believe is fairly useless is over-the-counter cold medicine -- especially cough medicine. The only thing that has ever helped me with a cough was taking Mucinex DM with a lot of water-- and I only found it after advice from a friend who was a professor of nursing. All other cold medicine seems pretty bloody useless to me. I used that stuff for years and it really doesn't help at all.

First day back at work and I'm happy and grateful to be alive... I was really, really sick for about 9 days following the holiday.
Had to rush my mom to the ER on Christmas night with the same affliction (it hit me 2 days later). Haven't been that sick ever, except maybe once when I was a really little kid. Ugh.
