What's your favourite prop(s) from either movies or TV? You can name more then one. For me these are some of my favourites. The full size mockup of the Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars movies The Blade Runner spinner The time machine from the remake of the movie of the same name, was made with brass and glass panels and it looked impressive. Doc Brown's Delorean of course because time travel should be done in style. The time machine from Timeless. As a design it was kind of cool to look at.
The Time Machine from the original George Pal movie. The statue of the Lawgiver from the Planet of the Apes movies. The Batmobile from the Adam West TV series.
I loved the original Time Machine as well. So iconic. And that's the design that the one in Time After Time was based on, I believe. It's got a Steampunk/Vernish feel to it.
Star Trek The Motion Picture eight foot Enterprise 1701-Refit filming miniature. Space:1999(1975-1977) twelve foot Alpha Moonbase filming miniature. Space:1999(1975-1977) forty-four inch and/or twenty-two inch Eagle Transporter filming miniature. Battlestar Galactica 1978-1980 six foot Galactica filming miniature. Battlestar Galactica 1978-1980 full-scale Colonial Viper prop. Space Academy (1977-1978) and Jason Of Star Command(1978-1980) four foot Space Academy filming miniature. Lost In Space(1965-1968) full-scale Jupiter 2 prop and full-scale Spacepod prop. Buck Rogers(1979-1981) full-scale E.D.D. Starfighter prop. Planet of the Apes(1968)(1970)(1971)(1974 pilot) full-scale A.N.S.A. Spaceship prop. Empire Strikes Back(1980) eight and a half foot Imperial Star Destroyer filming miniature. Star Blazers/Space Battleship Yamato, sadly it is animated so there was no filming miniature of the Yamato(Argo). But I would want a filming miniature.
Cool thread. So many, but I would say The Map, from Time Bandits. I always wanted to see that up close. I got one with the DVD, but not quite the same. If I could have a collection of props, it would include: The Booth from Bill & Ted River’s Diary Heywood Floyd’s laptop from 2010. The Transforming Sky Scraper robot from Big. The one Ring from TLotR Red Martian dollars from Total Recall Green crystal from Superman The sword from Highlander
Just on that laptop It was an Apple IIC with optional LCD screen https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Apple_IIc_with_LCD_display.jpg
Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet The Jet Car and Oscillation Overthruster from Buckaroo Banzai The Time Machine seen in Time After Time
If we're going to talk about time machine's then I nominate the TARDIS and its console room. Then there's the Martian war machines from George Pal's War of the Worlds.
Duncan Macleod's Sword from the tv show version of Highlander. Great minds think alike! Just noticed that bottom one.
I've always wished I could have the full-size Proteus submarine from Fantastic Voyage. Don't know where I'd put it, though.
