What's your favourite movie or TV prop?

Though as far as "best," it's pretty hard to argue against the ruby slippers.
Another prop I forgot that I really liked: The LIGHT CYCLES from Tron!
We're getting a bit loose with our definition of "prop" here. According to Wiki:
In practical terms, a prop is considered to be anything movable or portable on a stage or a set, distinct from the actors, scenery, costumes, and electrical equipment.
Those famous ruby slippers are wardrobe items, not props. And the Light Cycles from Tron were computer-animated; they never existed in physical form.

The "Shrinking Machine" from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

I love it so much I tried to make my own. :D

That's a pretty awesome effort.

No problem. What sort of junk bits did you use? Was that part of a multimeter?
A lot of it was just random odds and ends. I gutted a lot of old non functioning electronics. That was indeed a multi meter with an auto dimmer switch put on top of it. The main skeleton of the shrink ray itself is a metal tool organizer and two bathroom baskets. The table itself is an old dollar store wind chime display rack that was thrown out with a freezer rack holding it up. It's all held together with zip ties so it's very sturdy.

Brilliant....... I must try this some day with random junk.

Speaking of props, anyone who's seen Altered Carbon on Netflix would have seen a pretty cool futuristic looking telescope. This was a physical prop built purposefully for the show according to the builders. It's perhaps one of my favourite recent examples of good looking props. And it's a scope that could theoretically function, if it had lenses in it.

That just looks all kinds of awesome.

Just thought of one: the fossilized Creature hand from THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON.

Or maybe the wolf-headed cane from the original 1941 version of THE WOLF MAN?
Fossils, that reminds me of the cast made of the Id monster's footprint. That would be cool.

From the same film, Morbius's music box.

The radio from Gilligan's Island was always a favorite.

A commlock from Space: 1999 is pretty awesome tech, too.

The Spindrift miniature the giants used to lug around.

Varian's sonic screwdriver from Fantastic Journey.

I think FabgearUSA has the Spindrift model for sale but they can be kind of pricey.

Gray's Sports Almanac from Back to the Future, Part II (although I'd probably get more mileage out of an issue of Ooh-La-La).

Daredevil's billyclub from the 2003 movie. (When I go out with my umbrella, I wave it around and pretend I'm Daredevil when I think that no one is looking.)
