The Most Moral Character...

Chapel is always throwing herself at Spock . Its only the episodes where she's not that I can respect her.
As to her morality. In "What are little girls made of" she asked Kirk not to make her choose between duty and her fiance so I'm going to say her morality was in question there (understandably though).
If we include the animated episodes then she conspired with Mudd to drug Spock to love her. I really don't understand why she wasn't up on charges for that. Actually possibly my favourite Chapel moment occurs in that episode when at the end she tells Spock to get lost after he makes a smug remark. Yes at last.

I never minded Chapel having a crush but it was the way they did it. It was so embarrassing. If she had a secret crush it would have been so much better. Actually better none at all and that goes for Rand, Crusher and Troi. The female regulars do not need to have unrequited crushes on the male leads.

I don't think her conflict in WALGMO was a moral one per se. Orders can be immoral after all and she was convinced that Korby would be able to justify his odd behaviour. As for TAS, if we accept that as canon then she's definitely off the pedestal lol.

I think all the main TOS crew have morally ambiguous traits so I'd say you have to look more broadly at someone like Edith.

I think Kirk's and Rand's crush would have been fine bubbling below the surface at the level seen in Corbomite Manoeuvre, Balance of Terror, and Conscience of the King. They flogged it a bit too much a bit too soon instead of giving her something worthwhile to do. Very annoying that so many other female crew also develop inappropriate crushes . Go Miranda Jones I say.

Don't be fooled by Uhura though. That maintenance man knows exactly how to fix her rattling doors.

Has to be Dr. McCoy. He always put his patients interests first, even when dealing with shady characters like Khan.

I think its hard for the TOS crew to be "moral" when Kirk has to make tough decisions enforcing the "law" throughout the galaxy. Its easier for the medical profession to look better when they're saving lives.

Rand's crush was way less annoying and I agree that if she'd been made "worthy" by taking Helen Noel's place, and how she was scripted in the original COTEOF, it wouldn't have so bad. Apparently there original intention was to have Rand and Spock be friends. They scripted it so that Kirk was also interested in Rand except for duty, etc. so it wasn't like Chapel's one way infatuation.

I found the secret crushes a bit high schoolish, these are adults living together in a confined space far from home for 5 years or more, Most humans meet their life partners at work and the crew live where they work. The ladies having a few long term or short term flings, affairs or relationships with a fellow crew member shows they are normal beings. TOS treating Sulu and Uhura to a life of sexless celibacy on screen was embarrassing. I'm surprised they gave him a daughter in the Prime movies, probably adopted her all by himself. Heaven forbid he sexually reproduced!

Demora started as a growth on Sulu's back until she was large enough to fall off and start running around. Perfectly normal.

This is hard because I found all of the crew to be moral characters, even guys like Kelowitz and Watkins.

I can't think of anyone in the crew that seemed "immoral" There were some immoral Starfleet people, but not on Enterprise.

One exception was in Day of the Dove, Chekov especially was really affected by the *. Even Scott and Spock were, too.
