News Next Arrowverse Crossover to Include Batwoman

The answer is in the descriptions above. Ruby Rose as Batwoman is specifically mentioned in Part II, which is the Arrow episode and also in Part III the Supergirl episode.

I got mixed up, the reference is in the Arrow synopsis, which is the middle one, so I had the right placement but the wrong series. There is no mention of her in the Supergirl.

There's hardly any mention of anything in the Part III description. It's just one sentence. Clearly they don't want to give too much away. But I doubt they'd introduce a character in Part II and not feature them in the big finale.

Exactly. I’ts been known for a long time that this crossover event is being used to introduce and launch Batwoman. I have read so much about this event it’s hard to remember specific sources. It’s been known for awhile that Batwoman is appearing on Supergirl. Her being on Arrow is the new information. That also tracks with early assumptions that she is from Earth 38.

It’s interesting that they are holding out on which Earth she is from. But most likely it’s just another example of not wanting to give too much away. If we read between the lines of all those descriptions Body swapped Oliver and Barry go to Earth 38 to see Supergirl. She takes them to Clark in Smallville. Which leads to Gotham. Most likely on the same Earth.... probably...

Possibly... but on the other hand, just two weeks ago, both Arrow and The Flash name-dropped Gotham City on consecutive days (Talia had recently run into an old enemy there, and Rag Doll attacked an architect trying to land a construction contract there). Which could be taken as an attempt to seed the idea of Gotham as an Earth-1 location in people's minds.

Two things that I hope are finally addressed in this crossover

1 whatever Earth Batwoman lives on, 1 or 38, that the characters on whichever Earth she is not from acknowledge that they have heard of Gotham City. They both have referenced it.

2 Settle once and for all if there are only 53 alternate Earths or an Infinite number in the Multiverse. They have been inconsistent on that. I do not like there being a limit for a number of reasons. The various alternate Wells act like the whole Multiverse has been charted and explored. Which is the height of arrogance. It would be like a character on Star Trek declaring they have visited every planet in the universe. Plus it’s very limiting to the writers. Most of those alternate council of Harrison Wells members done as a one time joke. I would hate to think they define complete Earths on a list of only 53.

'90 Flash's line in the promo, "I will not let you do to this Earth what you did to mine," made me wonder if there used to be a lot more alternate universes but now it's down to 53 because someone's destroying them.

Well I am restating my old prediction - Felicity’s doppelgänger on Earth 38 is named Chloe Sullivan. They are basically the same character. Blonde tech support. Married to Oliver Queen. Alernatr history in which she is adopted and raised under another name in Smallville.

Surprise appearance by Justin Harley.

If Chloe were Felicity's Earth-38 doppelganger, she wouldn't actually have a connection to Oliver because, as far as we know, he doesn't exist on Earth-38.

I'd love all the past TV/movie iterations of the DC Universe to be alternate Earths, thus given them all a place in this 'canon'

I'm not fond of the idea of profligately folding in all adaptations, because some are better than others. I mean, seriously, does anyone actually want Powerless or Superman IV to be part of the Arrowmultiverse? And as much as I love Batman '66, it was too much of a comedy/spoof to be plausible as part of the same multiverse as more serious shows.

Besides, what I like about the Arrowverse is how it folds in deserving shows that were cancelled too soon -- Constantine, the '90 Flash -- and gives them a new lease on life. More successful shows like Lois & Clark and Smallville don't need that help, and failures like Birds of Prey and Powerless don't really deserve it.
