Turnabout Intruder, is correct.
I told you why Nimoy did not like the episode. Slashers admires the scenes such Spock and Kirk (in Lester's body) holding hands, how Spock defines his relationsship to Kirk at trial and how desperately tries to protect him (a kind of love manifests for the slashers) .
And I think they could chose another story for the final episode, but it should be unusual for 60's show, so I have read somewhere.

I think originally there should have been twenty six episodes but CBS only ordered twenty four, is that right?
I think Turnabout Intruder was a good final episode to be honest! I mean back then no one outside of the producers really knew the show was coming to an end anyways and there was always the chance that another fan protest would succeed!

Shatner made a brief comment in one of his books about morale on the set dropping as the cast and crew realized that the quality of the show has lowered, and cancellation was possibly looming over their show.
That or the shat was stealing more lines? Even those of the guest actors too?

Adam West, Batman, said that he would purposely speak his lines slowly, staccato style, so that he would get more air time in an episode.
Yeah old Westy was very stoic in his delivery but can you really see the guy who plays Bruce Wayne in Gotham morphing into Adam West my Lord?

I know the Batman purists prefer the Bob Kane dark hero, but the television version of his creation still cracks me up. Adam West and the evil villians were just hilarious.
They were good but a bit too silly for kids these days I'm sure!
