A mysterious message arrives in a package addressed to the Doctor, leading her, Graham, Yaz and Ryan to investigate the warehouse moon orbiting Kandoka, and the home of the galaxy's largest retailer, Kerblam.

Did it take 8 years for the package to arrive? lol

I felt the excitement/enthusiasm of the early years of tennant and smith.

So far it's been hum drum with The Ghost Monument, Rosa, Arachnids in the U.K, Demons of the Punjab

The Ghost Monument- A bit of running to the finish line via a boat and one explosion was underwhelming IMO

Rosa was just hanging around Alabama waiting for the pivotal bus moment

Arachnids was just roaming around a hotel with spider's that weren't that scary

Demons of the Punjab. Yes I know it was basically a history lesson but it didn't grab me.

Shopping warehouse service on a giant planet with robot delivery that's basically Amazon is already more exciting than the last 6 episodes

Make Pete McTighe the executive producer. He's brought more enthusiasm to the series than all of the last 3 seasons combined.

This looks good, maybe another Robots of Death? Looking forward to this but I hope the sight gag of the bouncing TARDIS ride goes soon. I got tired of that bit very early in RTD's era.

The title of that clip said the doctor reunites with an old friend and I was thinking Captain Jack was going to appear. I guess it was the Fez. I wish she had said Fez’s are cool.

There did seem to be more energy in that clip than we’ve gotten in the last two episodes. Makes me hopeful for tomorrow night.

Callback aside, the TARDIS scene was extremely good. Then they land, she whips out the psychic paper instead having to work her way into conversation as a lazy writing cheat and gimmick unworthy of even Harry Potter - something the blasted paper always was. Then comes out the sonic screwdriver yet again, the most overused and lazily written cheatery EVER over the last 1.3 decades, for which even "Demons of the Punjab" could escape its crass misuse and that episode took time and effort to not use the magic brainwashing paper. I hope the new writer doesn't overuse the screwdriver, assuming his script hasn't been, shall we say, doctored? (insert pun groan here)

Am still a fan of most of series 10. Capaldi's 3-part finale (2 parts but loosely reworked into three with the best Xmas special of the lot...) is a tough act to follow on any level, never mind them all. :)

I really would have thought the Doctor would have sprung for Prime. Or at least bummed it off Captain Jack.

That scene is neat and I am excited for tonight. Love a good Doctor vs. Robots story. Loved the chide about Robophobia.

I think the RTD quote is that the psychic paper saved them one full half-hour episode of the classic series when breaking a story.

Right. It could be 1000+ years late.

I'm putting the order at the day after Amy and Rory's wedding, while he was bored after dropping them off for the first stage of the honeymoon.

He figured "I can buy a fez" when thinking he'd survived Big Bang 2, but didn't get a chance to order one until Amy brought him back at the wedding (and after that it was all dancing, flirting with River and nearly getting tricked onto the Orient Express).

I like that placement. Another good point would be during The Power Of Three. He was pretty bored at times there too. He could have made the call on a break from painting the fence.

Enjoyable episode but only really picked up in the last fifteen minutes. Will never play with bubble wrap again. :)

Really well played use of turning something so ordinary into something scary. Really liked this episode. Felt like the first one where everyone on the team played a part as well as the extras.

I love it! Killer bubble wrap! What a great commentary of Doctor Who monsters of the past.

A fairly basic episode until about the last 15 minutes when everything picked up into high gear. I have to admit I didn't see it coming that the System was the one that sent the "Help Me" message nor did I expect Charlie to be the one behind the disappearances but, like The Doctor, I really should've. I was also pleasantly surprised how dark the episode turned towards the end. All of the people that disappeared are dead and aren't coming back (sorry Dan and Dan's daughter) and Ryan, Yaz, and Charlie weren't able to miraculously save Kira at the last moment.

I knew the moment The Doctor and her companions were told they aren't allowed to ever go into the dispatch chutes that someone would, although I had expected it to be The Doctor herself considering how bummed out she looked by the rule.

Fezes are still cool! Even if The Doctor didn't say it. Fezes are forever cool. That said, it's rather odd the Kerblam delivery robot was able to penetrate the TARDIS so readily. You'd think The Doctor would be concerned by that prospect, especially since there was no indication that she lowered the shields.

Deliberate or not, I liked how the voices of the Kerblam robots sounded a lot like the Kaldorian robots from The Robots of Death.

Very nice - I spotted the "change the delivery address" bit well ahead of time but didn't expect the deliveries to be "to the warehouse, then open the boxes" - I thought the Doc would have them beam into the sun or deep space.

We got an actual "villain" this week, but tying in to Chibbers' overarching theme of "no real true evil" he was fighting a system that disenfranchises millions but the wrong way. Similarly, Amazon and others make use of cheap labour and evade taxes, but we turn a blind eye due to the need for convenient delivery. Doesn't make hiding bombs in the parcels or killing workers who might have spotted the truth correct. Daleks are easy - they aren't going to turn good unless it's to showcase the Doctor's own failings and hatred... but this guy could have easily been swayed by the Doctor's speech and wasn't - shades of grey are more satisfying than pure xenophobia.

Oh, and the instant they focused on the bubblewrap was anyone else expecting that this was a surprise return of the Nestenes?

I mean, killer daffofils? So 1970s. Killer packaging materials? Look at your house and tell me you ain't scared...

I assume the Doctor gives out some kind of recognition signal for authorised deliveries, like the "If I'm out, leave behind the shed" things you can send to Amazon.

Another episode I really enjoyed. Another timely story with a lot of relevance. Systems aren't evil only the ways in which they are used. An almost Incel character using his computer skills to do terrible and violent things using his view of injustice to excuse it.

Not only the call back to the Fez but the "Speaking of wasps, did I ever tell you about Agatha Christie?" and the Doctor saying "Laters, ugh, I'm never saying that again." plus plenty of fun to even out the darker elements.
