SYNOPSIS:
Tom Morrow was a kid on Earth when he was abducted from the year 1998 by an alien spaceship. When he grew up, he hijacked the ship and kicked the aliens out, opting to search for his home planet. Along the way, Tom has discovered CHARL-E, a busted up old robot that he reprogrammed himself. Together, Tom and CHARL-E have many misadventures and must overcome many obstacles in order to find their way home.

BEHIND THE SCENES:
CHARL-E the robot was constructed out of leftover vaccum cleaner parts. His lights are provided via LEDs, and though it can't be seen in the pilot, he can be rolled around on his four wheels.

Cute. I like that you kept it small in scope.

Two nits:
  1. you faded out too fast at the end
  2. the siren was so loud it overwhelmed the dialog

Now, where's episode 2? ;)

Wow, I'm really happy you liked it! I would like to address the nits, if you don't mind:

1. The fast fade out at the end was due to the fact that I accidentally looked directly at the camera after I said my last line. I was trying to cut it before anyone would notice.
2. The siren is a bit loud, isn't it? Will definitely fix that if I ever need the siren in future episodes.

Episode 2 is coming soon. I plan on getting an episode made a week (releases are usually on the weekend), and I want to do at least six to ten episodes minimum per season before I take a break to plan out what will happen during next season's episodes.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for a story I might do, PM me and I may do it as an episode!

You should try not to let the camera move around when you are keying a shot into the window/viewscreen. A number of times the camera shook and the starfield didn't. lol

Well, this will probably still be a problem in episode 2, since I just shot the majority of the footage for the characters tonight. I promise though, as long as creative suggestions and constructive criticisms keep coming, the solutions will be implemented into future episodes. :)

UPDATE: So I have a severe problem of not wanting to call it a night until I get an episode finished. Here's episode 2. It's a bit rough still, but I hope to implement improvements by episode 3. Here's the link below:

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to bed. LOL

Thanks I got a kick out of those, here's to many more adventures.
Hope Robot doesn't come down with Pon Farr.

It's been a long road, getting from - wait, wrong series! LOL

Episode 3 has finally begun production (scheduled for release this Friday), following my recent stay at the hospital and subsequent recovery. Here's a screen grab from the first visual effect completed for this new episode. I'm channeling the style of both "Star Wars" and "2001: A Space Odyssey" with this new alien race. Without spoiling the plot too much, I can say that it looks like Tom and CHARL-E have been abducted. Let's hope they can get away in one piece!

Happy to hear you're recovering.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your episodes

Thank you guys for watching! :) I'm happy to have an audience at all, much less an audience who generally enjoys my work. It really pays off in the end seeing just how much people have taken to Tom Morrow and CHARL-E.

IT'S HERE!!! At long last, the latest episode of "The Adventures of Tom Morrow" has arrived! Check it out at the link below!
