My dog wont go near me when I eat curry. Doesn't like the smell I think.I love oystersHubby hates them. There are two items I love to eat that he threatens not to kiss me afterwards. One being oysters and the other, Stilton. Silly man.

Am I glad I've got short hair.Sometimes I measure how long it takes me to do something by Star Trek episodes. I’ll leave Netflix running in the background and do my hair or laundry. Then I’ll be like, wow it took me one and a half episodes of Enterprise to wash, blow dry, and curl![]()
My sister the other day texted me with a late night revelation. A Butler is a well established profession that everyone knows what they do. Right? But what do you call what a Butler does? And guesses?
A Butler is a person who performs the act of Buttling. In other words a Butler Buttles.
I like Buttling personally, but to each their own.I thought they Butlered, and the service they offered, and the industry they worked, was butlerring.
Auto correct doesn’t like those terms, but what does it know?
About three or four years ago I made a conscious decision to remove myself from certain news presentation. It was more to do with packaging of televised news. Updates would take the form of repetitive footage and a panel of experts framing the presentation. I get uncomfortable when say a politician announces he or she is going to (example) pull out of a treaty or remove a tax. The news is simply in that. If there is footage I can interpret tone myself. I don't need some news writer telling me so and so was 'angrily' 'defensively' doing what they did. There is too much agenda and bias and often it is subtle. Not even taking into account the other more subversive forms of manipulation that has emerged in current times.Lately all of news punditry has taken to nihilism as a way to shut down criticism.
What they do is, any time they see somebody passionately argue a moral point, they find sarcastic mocking ways to imply the person is only trying to make themselves look morally superior. The term 'SJW' has caught on in particular. Really it's just thinly veiled nihilism. Shutting down criticism and deflecting attention from corruption on their side by making it all about the ego of the person raising the point.
It's only getting worse, people are acting like the law isn't even supposed to function the way it was originally prescribed to, that gaming the system for your own benefit is not only not a problem, it's the expected norm. Might not be till we hit rock bottom that it starts to get better and people start to actually care again.
