T5 ships are not completely useless.

T6 ships have been a thing since 2014.

How are you having trouble with that jump? Maybe you're jumping too soon.

I never had trouble with it. When was the last time you tried it.

I tried STO for the first time in a long time yesterday to play Age of Discovery. I created a new character since I had the slot to do it. You can only have the Discovery uniform, so I tried to make Pike's uniform from the trailer. Using the Discovery Lieutenant you can change the collar color, and I actually got it pretty close in character creation. However, when the game loaded, it reverted back to the Discovery uniform.

I played through the first mission, and I thought it was alright. I haven't done the second one yet, and probably won't until there's more content for it.

I thought T6 was the new one.
Anyway I’ve gave it a go. I assume you need to make anew character to play the main story arc? The 25th century toon seem to be just simulations with the Glen.
Is it me or are their new animations for your characters?

DSC characters and 25th Century characters have the same story missions, but for 25th Century characters they're called simulations to explain why/how you're doing them.

Cheekily, I gave my Walker a green paint job, so it looks like the concept art from the Eaglemoss magazine.

A couple of days ago. Maybe picking incorrect locations to jump?
Without running I cannot jump the first crevasse. No room to run for the second.

With the last update, AoD missions became available. Did the first one.
Good thing as I can jump over those crevasses.

I switched from PC to console earlier this year

These days I only really play when a new model comes out for a few weeks.

STO needs a big update, it's MILES behind its sister game Neverwinter in terms of Polish and update frequency and quantity

I reduced my playing time when the exploration and diplomatic missions were almost replaced with Combat ones.

I logged in yesterday, for the first time in many months, and one of the first missions I received was "you have to kill this species in this sector" and so on, and then the next mission was the same, and the next, and the next, and I just went "blergh," and uninstalled it.

I found the game fun again, after taking a break for a few months after the Risa event. Been playing for a few to many hours each day since Age of Discovery has started. Also, found out some of my Australian friends are either joining in or returning. The game is a lot better than a few years ago. It shall be exciting what the future has for it, as it approaches it's 10th anniversary in around 15 months.

I still have an idea of a foundry mission that I want to make at some stage.

The Vadwaar are a pain to kill. They won't stop trying to flank me. Looking forward to finishing this arc.

I found it easier now then when it was released, as they were harder to kill then.

Anyways, I decided on moving a few toons back to my old fleet. It had been rather quiet for the last few years. Looked in the fleet bank, and there were some phaser beam arrays with the PvP mod on them. They had been sitting there.

You are not joking, they have certainly ramped up the damage being done, i have neve been blown up this amount of times while running through the story mode, even with the wet paper that the escorts are made out of, i should have rolled a engineer for AOD rather than a tact, engineers get the better ships to fly i my view. ;)

I know right, can't believe it has been that long, i think over that time i may have logged in now and again but never did anything, i may treat myself to that temp time bundle for 15000. ha
