Even without having seen the episode, I'm pretty sure that the reason Barry's disappearance from 2024 "sticks" is that he became a Time Remnant and vanished when present-day Barry changed history via Flashpoint.
Thing is, Nora is playing with very dangerous fire. To go back in time, even with "soft points," she is potentially threatening her own conception. What if her presence causes Barry and Iris not to have sex that day? Or even delays that night by an hour, and a different sperm hits the egg?
By the way--the line of the night went to Ralph who stood up for fandom when he asked, "why didn't Eddie Thawne stop Reverse Flash by getting a vasectomy?" If only the writers tried to ANSWER that question.
Where can a Canuck watch the Flash this season? CTV dropped it entirely and only Legends and Arrow migrated to Space.

Even without having seen the episode...
As far as I got.
"Some eyewitnesses remember dozens of other heroes present, including Green Arrow, Batwoman, and Elongated Man. Others remember heroes thought lost in time, like The Atom, or from other worlds, like Supergirl. Some even contend they saw Reverse Flash leading an army of 'shadow demons.'"
Saw this on Facebook. No special effects. The tallest cast member (6'4") and the shortest cast member (5'0")
I see the picture. Is there supposed to be a picture or a link there?

In the distant future, Older Barry fights younger Thawne a lot.Even without having seen the episode, I'm pretty sure that the reason Barry's disappearance from 2024 "sticks" is that he became a Time Remnant and vanished when present-day Barry changed history via Flashpoint.
We have known since season one that Barry will make a life for himself in the 22nd century.
