Even without having seen the episode, I'm pretty sure that the reason Barry's disappearance from 2024 "sticks" is that he became a Time Remnant and vanished when present-day Barry changed history via Flashpoint.

I was happy with the premiere as well. I wasn't a huge fan of last season's storyline. I think the Thinker played out about 10 episodes before they ended the season, and I was far more interested in this storyline anyway.

Thing is, Nora is playing with very dangerous fire. To go back in time, even with "soft points," she is potentially threatening her own conception. What if her presence causes Barry and Iris not to have sex that day? Or even delays that night by an hour, and a different sperm hits the egg?

Imagine that happening but Nora still exists as a time remnant (like Eobard Thawne post Eddie's death)?

By the way--the line of the night went to Ralph who stood up for fandom when he asked, "why didn't Eddie Thawne stop Reverse Flash by getting a vasectomy?" If only the writers tried to ANSWER that question.

Yep, especially since she says in her closing monologue that her intentions are to try to undo Barry's crisis disappearance. That is a major event and most likely a fixed point. So she is not just potentially messing up soft points but she might be trying to change a fixed point too.

Definitely a great line. I think Ralph was great in this episode. He provided comic relief without being silly and cheesy like last season. I loved his whole multiverse explanation like he thought he had made some big breakthrough. Very funny.

Given the established rules of time travel and the Multiverse, as well as the XS character's comics origin and story, I would not put it past the writers to have Nora
I haven't seen it yet because I haven't decided if i'm GOING to see it (since I didn't see any of last season due to boycotting all of the Earth-1-set Arrowverse series), but that doesn't invalidate my observations or my ability to adequately comment.

In many-verse news Nora's "25 years later" article seems to indicate that Batwoman is from Earth-1.

The account of the Crisis reads:

Cameron Mahkent is the real name of the second Icicle. A connection to Killer Frost?

Because it was edited in just after I posted, according to the "Last edited" stamp.

Anyway, I would've thought Jessica Parker Kennedy was the shortest one in the cast. Turns out she's second-shortest by half an inch.

And how appropriate that The Elongated Man is the tallest one.

Interesting how in the comics, XS is actually Barry's granddaughter. I'm just hoping that the use of her this year does not preclude Bart Allen making an appearance, though it very well might, unless he is brought in as part of THIS story line. I don't think that's happening.

What would be REALLY interesting is if they actually do something with the comic book XS. Maybe Nora erases her own existence, but when Barry and Iris have their twins, Dawn's daughter inherits that name after the sister that was never born.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
In the distant future, Older Barry fights younger Thawne a lot.

We have known since season one that Barry will make a life for himself in the 22nd century.

Man, I just loved Ralph playing catch-up all through the episode. And that "Why didn't he just have a vasectomy" line made me pause the show because I had to get the LOL out of my system before I could properly continue.

Of course, now that Nora has teased King Shark fighting Grodd, they have to show us that. Although I think I read a while back that they've already said they will.

It would be nice if he could bring Iris and Nora with him.

Damn it, I thought this was next week, it is also not airing on the same channel in Canada as last year, so my PVR missed it.

It isn't on demand, nor are there any re-runs coming up, guess I'll just have to read a re-cap.
