I think the most important thing here would be if they learned their lesson from Season 1, and didn't make the season just about the big mystery box arc. I dunno how I would take another flaccid final episode.

I'm just lifting from the UK Discovery fans discord, but a popular theory is the red lights are the 7 Dimensions of Hinduism, of which Durga/Kali (the red figure) is the gatekeeper.

Also somebody said weeks ago the red lights are "Tied to Burnham", which now makes sense if you factor in the Discovery branded Lenovo computer of the 1701A, and rumoured timejump.

I have to say, it's really exciting to have a show to speculate wildly over.

My only concern is getting a lot of stuff crammed into just 13 episodes. I don't mind a fast pace but I'm worried it'll rush through various themes.

I have to say, it's really exciting to have a show to speculate wildly over.

the show seems to like to telegraph its mysteries, if season 2 is anything like season 1, we'll know the answers at least half a season before they decide to tell us.

I find it that very unlikely that it's connected to the Romulans.

It's related to the red lights. Probably connected to that winged humanoid in the trailer.
