Apparently one needs a pretty high IQ to understand *checks notes* Star Wars.
But seriously, ‘highly intelligent?’ I may not be poking myself in the eye with forks (often), but I’d hesitate to describe myself that way. Especially based purely on the media I consume.
And I certainly wouldn’t use it to reason away my own flaws and antisocial tendencies. Which are more ‘turns down opportunities to socialise in favour of eating frozen meals and watching tv alone,’ than ‘obsessively wishes misery upon someone/something.’
Also, feeling the slight urge to check there’s no identifying info in my profile right about now. Like an address.

Star Wars was made for six year olds, makes sense that many of the fans never aged emotionally or mentally past that age.
I'm starting to think I might just have to step away from these thread, I don't I've ever come across a group of threads here that have every pissed me off and disgusted me as much as these three threads have.
We've gotten some new bosses at work that are making it hell and usually I come here as a way to relax, but all these threads are doing is making me even angrier and more miserable that I already was.

I think this says it all. People don't know what they want. But if they like something it means it gave them something they never knew they wanted in the first place. Even when you give someone something they like and feels close to what they wanted it's most likely never what they expected. How many comic book fans for example who use to dream of something like a "Avengers" movie every thought such a movie would be led by a second rate comic character like Iron Man and has no Spiderman in it. A a big Marvel Universe that still can't use the X-Men of Fantastic 4 and until not that long ago even Spiderman.

This reaction is more due to the inevitable reactions of all the people who insisted she was going to be fired, which I am sure will be highly entertaining. I'm also happy she's sticking around, since I've really enjoyed everything that's been released under her tenure.

Not in the realm of thinking it ever might happen.
But all those YouTube videos had "insider sources" saying she was gonna be fired. How can I trust random nobodies with video cameras now?
If you can't trust a youtube channel star who shows you how to spin an excellent curve ball in Pokemon Go what's the world come to?
Would love to know what person people would prefer to see at the helm? Because, given the fact that the original creator was driven to retirement I truly wonder who could have stepped in to satisfy the base.
