I just finished watching a crime drama with a fantasy edge called Stan Lee's Lucky Man. Produced by Sky in the UK but I think I read Shudder bought the right in the US.

The set up is a cop with a gambling addiction is given a bracelet that gives him good luck, but if he uses it bad things happen to other people and the person who was supposed to get it is coming after him.

@Bob The Skutter : Cool, thanks! I'd never heard of that, so I had to look it up. It has James Nesbitt; I like him, so I'll have to check it out if it ever makes its way over to these parts for free. Amazon has it for $2.99 an episode, so maybe it will eventually be on Prime.

There are 3 series, a total of 28 episodes. It looks like Shudder is $3.99 per month, so you could probably Binge the lot for less than 2 episodes on Amazon.

Well, the very wonderful Line of Duty's writer Jed Mercurio has a new series running called 'Bodyguard'. It's the sixth and final episode tonight and the country will be coming to a halt to watch it.

It's (typically of Mercurio) densely plotted with lots of misdirection. This far in and we still don't know who the good (and bad) guys are.

Viewing figures are through the roof. Worth a watch...

Netflix just bought the worldwide (other than UK and Japan) rights.

As soon as it’s available you should check out Bodyguard from BBC. Just finished 1st season in the UK. It’s been really good and not just saying that because I was in it.

I hope we get another series of Marcella, so they can explain series two to me.

I've got that on my Netflix list. Is series 2 not so good?

    Bet you've done Casualty !

Met a guy at a bus stop a few years ago - he had a nice gig on Casualty as background until he got a line, which stopped them booking him.

He did, however, end up driving vehicles in the background shots.

I've been meaning to check that out myself. I eat up anything from that time period.

I've never heard of that -- had to Google it. I've given up on Death in Paradise-- Agatha Raisin looks like it might be similar in tone. Is it worth watching?
