No wonder I didn't know. I've never been a fan of that particular character - DC's Captain Marvel - in the first place. And I never knew about Marvel's Captain Marvel.

Why am I just now noticing Chewie is on the poster? If there's not a Rocket/Flerken showdown in Avengers 4 I'll be very disappointed.

I think it's a different cat (a Top Gun character, maybe Goose). Chewie will be a modern cat.

Very cool trailer. It looks like they're drawing a lot of different eras of Captain Marvel. The memory loss thing definitely reminds me of the time after she encountered Rogue and lost her memory (and, even after regaining it, never regained the emotional connection to those memories).

Trailer makes it look like a fun, by-the-numbers Marvel movie. I'll be watching. I hope the "uncanny valley" de-aged Coulson and Fury aren't distracting.

It's pretty well done, mainly because Clark Gregg and Jackson haven't aged much since the early 90s.

Indeed. The main things are the hair and that's easily done with good wigs (although I'm not sure how they're doing it for Jackson).

I'm curious to find out why exactly Fury was ready to hang it up before Carol entered his life. Maybe life as a SHIELD agent wasn't all that fulfilling before she arrived and introduced him to a bigger universe?

SHIELD would be under relatively new management at this point, seeing as Howard Stark had been killed just a few years prior. And given that Iron Man 2 implied that Fury knew Howard, maybe he just sees it as time to move on to something new.

Maybe it was the lighting, but Jude Law's character looked like he has pink skin. Not Caucasian pink, but pink. I think some of the aliens in GotG had a similar shade.

This movie looks good. Damn good. Like a properly good Super hero movie. Now I can stop pretending to like Wonder Woman.
