Would you liked Enterprise if the ship was the XCV-330?

Just curious. I remember some backlash over the NX design. Some called it Akiraprise. I like the XCV. It lines up with TMP canon which precedes both First Contact and Enterprise. It’s design is remenescent of Vulcan ships. And it looks like what I think an Alcubierre warp ship would look like.
It wouldn't have looked immediately like Star Trek if they'd used the genric-scifi-concept Ringship Enterprise (which was designed for a non-Trek project which never got off the ground)
That's never been established, and if they'd made XCV-330 be the first Warp 5 ship when the series began, that's what it would have been.
Obviously I'm a fan of the ship, but the show wasn't dependant on one kind of ship. I like the NX too.
It doesn't matter what the ship looks like. I can't enjoy Enterprise because the characters aren't particularly compelling and the stories aren't very good.

No, it was originally one of several designs by Matt Jefferies in 1964 for TOS Star Trek, but was rejected.
I think it would have been a interesting change from what we eventually got. I think the NX-01 design was wrong for what was repeatedly referred to as a early effort (not a first effort) of starship design on Humanity's part.

This ship was designed by Matt Jefferies for a television series project developed by Gene Roddenberry after the run of the original Star Trek. Unfortunately, the series was never produced, and this remains the only appearance of the design.

Much would depend on whether the ringship would have had transporters, phasers, photon torpedoes and shields like James T. Archer's NX-1701 - or been distinct functionally, with different limitations and options stemming from the all-new tech the writers would have come up with.
But I'm delighted we not only got the ringship (as a cute little reference in "First Flight") but the connection to Vulcans and their beeeeautiful vessels. That alone was worth the price of admission to me.

The XCV-330 is a nice concept but it wouldn’t have worked as the hero ship of the show. I’m not an expert on the design itself, but it doesn’t look like it has much maneuverability or defense systems necessary to deal with hostile first contacts.

It's standard fare for Trek to apply unused concepts as something else altogether (say, unused Bajoran freighter -> unused Mirror Sisko's ship -> DS9 hero ship), typically with quite a bit of success. The ringship became "an early Earth experiment" the moment she became part of the photograph wall at the 602 Club in "First Flight"; before that, she could have been pretty much anything and everything, as long as she predated ST:TMP, her onscreen debut.
We still know of no performance specs. But we now have additional "data" of other sorts to our enjoyment - the ship, once just odd-looking, now "looks Vulcan". Which of course fits splendidly with Trek pseudohistory, Earth obviously being keen on trying out some monkey-see, monkey-do warp rigs to see if they were better than what Cochrane had originally come up with. And thus with the rest of Trek, where Cochrane's two-nacelle design triumphs over the handiwork of the Wise Ancients, just like the upstart humans triumph over Vulcans and other alien scum in the big galactic scheme.

Of course if the XCV330 was the hero ship of ENT, then (possible) the NX01 would be the photo on the wall of the 602 club, and the drawing on Archer's officer wall.
It would have what ever the writers wanted it to have. Probably be state of the art in weapons and maneuverability. Wicked fast, too.
While we're at it, let's change the Captain from Archer to Stiles, because that would be a great tip of the hat to "Balance of Terror".

T'Pol was originally going to be T'Pau, until they realised they'd have to pay royalties in every episode she appeared. They'd never feature Stiles' ancestor for more than one or two episodes for the same reason.
