All Access

I imagine a lot of people cancelled it after STD finished. No need to have it when nothing new is coming.

Yeah, they really so. It's in one of the dozen or more videos Midnight's Edge has on their feed about the Discovery production woes. Do a little legwork and you'll find it.

Midnight's Edge is just an echo chamber for people who want Discovery removed from production. They get you to click because they are telling you what you want to hear.

No one but CBS has the actual numbers for All Access, and no one but CBS knows if it is performing to the expectations they laid out for it.

Midnight's Edge is full of shit. They don't seem to have much awareness for Star Trek's making of history, and their bias stinks throughout, invalidating any objective "reporting". My favorite is their implication that Netflix was upset with how CBS was producing DISCOVERY. What was the reason? "They were not being faithful to Prime canon".

HO. LY. SHIT.

Only fanboys.

Another favorite: How they used the upcoming Picard spin-off's positive reaction by fans being bigger than DISCOVERY's second season reaction as a way of illustrating how badly the latter show is doing. Which is asinine, because if in 1988 Paramount announced a Kirk spin-off it would have undoubtedly got a bigger reaction by the fans than TNG's upcoming second season. We probably would have heard the same "predictions" being made about how Paramount is setting up Kirk's show to take precedence after TNG got cancelled.

It just goes to show how utterly out of touch they are. They seem to forget that TNG had its troubles in the first two seasons. They seem to forget there was a loud group of fans that hated it and wanted it to be cancelled because it was "not Star Trek". I have my own issues with DISCOVERY, but I still support it because I want it to get better.

And that they think Moonves hated Trek because he cancelled ENTERPRISE "just as it got good". No, you dorks, it got cancelled because it was LOSING MONEY. It was the lowest rated Trek program of all time. It's insanely lucky to have lasted FOUR seasons.

Wouldn't these numbers be available in a shareholder report?

I kinda like that we don’t know the numbers. It could be anything, and we can’t make any speculations over what will happen based on them. People seem to get caught up in TV ratings and box office numbers too much.

What're the definitions of "greatly exceeding our expectations" and "on track?" They don't give numbers or an expected growth percentage year over year.

I found a dollar last night. That greatly exceeded my expectations. Also, by definition, that means I'm on track to make a million dollars.

Oh, come on. They are succeeding, whether you like it or not. At least be a grown up about it.
