Things that frustrate us all

I totally agree, Butters. The price of Lego has risen shamelessly these last 50 years. Even with the oil price soaring, there's no reason why they shouldn't cut costs a bit by adding a certain percentage of recycled material.

Tumblr. I get tired of people who expect people to be positive all the time. We're not robots you know :lol:. I lost a follower after I posted something only remotely negative (ended up deleting said post). It's rather ridiculous.

Been losing people lately, but I think most of them (that one person aside) may have been bots.

Word. And then having to deal with people telling you to update your computer's drivers to help fix it. That's a no go when the computer itself says you have the best drivers for it and most of them are legacy now and it would cost a pretty penny just to upgrade to new parts and then move up to newer drivers. It's why I haven't updated to 1803. I don't need to run into issues on my laptop thanks to Windows incompetence.

argh! If the guy with the over-sensitive car alarm would finally switch it off I'd really be very glad. For the last 7 hours it's been going off at 5 minute intervals. I'm so tempted to arm myself with a wire cutter...

I am not sure whether this is an argh or a yay occasion: after lunch break I'll get a Win 10 PC at my office.
Time will tell into which cathegory that one falls...
 
New nail colour on holiday Monday.

I was sick(er) yesterday and could hardly drag my carcass out of bed. Then I got an itch right in the center of my back. My remote control has ROUNDED edges so it was no help. I basically nearly beat myself up trying to reach it and somehow ended up on the floor on my mattress. I finally got it though with a Gumby fireplace lighter that I had misplaced.

Finding oneself in a bit of a funk because slumming it through the little rough patch has gone on way too long and still stretches out for the foreseeable and then some, and the little life distractions like reading a mag or partaking in those gentle online arguments about continuity, offer no relief, and just staying positive is an insurmountable chore, and you’re so distracted by flabbergast that you can’t even construct a finite sentence,

That’s a bit a frustrating.

Just curious: are you that much further north than I am or do you have to work that late? (Dusk in Bavaria is currently around 19:30).

I work unusual hours, so yes, it's just because I leave work later than what most people would consider "normal". (On the plus side, I had to change up my hours a little on Thursday, so when I left, there was still some daylight! :) )

I don't know where specifically in Bavaria you are, but based on the co-ordinates given in Wikipedia, you are much farther north than I.
 
Timed software trials should start the moment you open the program the first time, not when you install it and certainly not when you download it!!!

argh of the day: after 'only' 9 months (difficult birth, apparently) I got the permission for buying a new business car. I asked for a Jeep and shall get a mini-SUV (a Suzuki Vitara). While the first generation Vitara was really something Jeep-like, the current ones are more like a normal car. I need space between the car's belly and the surface, for crying out loud!
Well, on the positive side: at least it is indeed 2 inches higher than my old Ford Focus was
 
Now I'm not frustrated but furious! I just had a bus driver and a fellow passenger who talked about African refugees in a way that I can only describe as Nazi-ish. The driver is Czech and came here because in Germany he earns more. The passenger is Eastern German and came to the West because here she gets a higher pension. Both came for the money, not to save their lives. How dare this right wing scum abuse those who came here to find safety!
I got off at the first stop and took a taxi instead and from tomorrow on I'll go by bicycle again, no matter how badly my back hurts.
There should be a virus against that sort of people that renders them completely voiceless.
 
I had a headache so I took some Excedrin (which usually works). I thought they were for headache relief but it turns out they were actually full of ache so now it is 10 times worse. Just a little frustrating.
