Actually, those pictures kind of prove otherwise, that she in fact worked for the Kree in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And also reminds me that you keep forgetting that this isn't the comic book. No movie has been, no movie will be.

I meant the main Marvel comics universe, obviously. Her joining and working with the Kree is like Captain America being trained by Hitler or Superman helping Zod massacre some humans. It is so the opposite of what the character actually does that its both hilarious and legitimately offensive all at once.

Also, there is being different then a comic when you need to be, and fucking over the comic. Iron Man was different, but still respected the source material. Fant4stic took a giant dump on its source material. Captain Marvel is following Fant4stic's example.

KREE DO NOT WEAR THAT FUCKING COSTUME. I DON'T CARE IF YOU PAINT IT GREEN, IT WILL NEVER BE A KREE COSTUME. CAROL DANVERS NEVER WORKED FOR THE KREE IN THE MAIN MCU (outside of a 1-2 issue story in an Avengers comic where she was brainwashed, but she was still ms. marvel then and never got out of her Ms. Marvel costume) AND SHE INVENTED THAT CAPTAIN MARVEL COSTUME HERSELF. SHE WOULD NEVER WORK WITH THE KREE, FUCK OFF. SHE ALSO NEVER TRAINED WITH THE KREE, BUT I GUESS COPYING RYAN REYNOLDS GREEN LANTERN FILM IS THE BEST THING THE HACKS MAKING THIS COULD COME UP WITH, EXCEPT THAT MOVIE WAS WATCHABLE AND THIS IS SHIT.

Also, a comparison I saw on twitter but should have seen immediately all by myself, apparently the costume/make up people in this movie are fans of Dragonball Evolution

Well, congrats MCU. You've made a movie worse then Spider-Man Homecoming, and one less faithful to the actual comics then fucking Fant4stic all in one shit package. Zach Snyder could have made a better fucking Carol danvers movie then the assholes that made this one, and that guy is both out of his mind and a hack, which unfortunately would be a step up from this shit.

To say one nice thing, at least this isn't as shit as the "Shazam" movie. So, it still beats the movie loosely based on the real Captain Marvel. That is literally the only positive thing i can say about this shit, though.

His backstory was updated and his personality was completely different and yet Iron Man was a big hit credited for making the entire MCU possible and is still often cited as one of the best movies in the genre.

Exactly. Adaptations to new mediums are supposed to add something new to the mix. It was a great source of pride for Douglas Adams that no two versions of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy told exactly the same story.

If Carol was turned into (and I'm going to go ridiculously extreme here on purpose) a pedophile, would that be fine because "that's what they say she is"? To you it would be, but that's just you. This "Carol danverS" does not resemble the real version in the slightest (outside of one version of her costume mildly resembling the comic costume), and I will be commenting on that. It is actively saying "fuck you" to the comics in a way that Fant4stic and Suicide Squad did, and both those movie were pretty bad. If you can't handle my opinion on this, don't read my posts. I'm not going to stop posting about the movie.

Everytime I see the green costume, I almost have a stroke. Carol danvers never worked with the Kree, she certainly never trained with them, and her Captain Marvel costume was of her own design, it was never a Kree suit. Well, the MCU was bound to make its own Fantastic Four (2015) film someday. But, hey, that means the MCU still only has two films I think are actually bad (Spider-Man Homecoming and this one) which is still an amazing record. I might hate watch this one, but only when the public library gets it, its not getting a penny from me.
