Did CBS Steal the Tardigrade Idea?

If Discovery was just an attempt to just mooch money, it'd be this pile of shite:

Step up your shade game. It's crap.
There there's a case for IP theft...….parody my ass. :-)

Eh, to each their own. For me, I like what Discovery is doing a lot more than The Orville. Doesn't make either bad, they just appeal to different audiences.
Oh I myself love both the Orville and Discovery. I'm so much more looking forward to seeing the Orville again, but I enjoy Discovery also for many different reasons, I don't feel there's anything wrong with enjoying either or both shows.

@fireproof78 that was my favorite episode! :)

Alex Kurtzman... is that you???
Don't. Midnight's Edge is just pure garbage. You don't have to be anyone or pretending to be anyone, you don't have to like Discovery to say that, acknowledge that, or understand that they're garbage. End of story.

Oh... there's a lot of *love* in The Orville. It's made to give back something to Star Trek. I think there's room for it.

I don't think much is gained by tearing down one sci fi series to prop up another. The pissing contest that goes on between Orville and Discovery fans is like the Midnight's Edge of conversations.

I've only watched about 4 episodes of Orville online as it doesn't air in Australia, but what I have seen I've liked. It can be a bit derivative but is it 'shit'? Not at all. Equally I like Discovery, but think there is room for improvement

Despite what some people think, there is room for both Discovery and Orville.

I was meaning more if they wanted easy money, they would have made The Orville.

Instead, they wanted to make a provocative liberal statement.
Orville is making liberal statements as well.

And there is nothing wrong with the statements DSC is making.

Gay people exist?

It seems like people would be over that, at this point. Especially when you consider that there are actually conservative Gay folks. Like the Log Cabin Republicans.

I surely wouldn't call it "provocative".
