The aesthetic of the post-Nemesis Trek Universe

I think they should bring back Rick Sternbach. If they're going back to that era, they should go back to that era. I'm sure he has some ideas about what Star Trek would look like at the turn of the 25th Century. Or at least find someone who can channel Rick Sternbach. I don't think that's John Eaves.

Sure, what John Eaves would come up with could be an outgrowth of FC, but I want to see something that visually looks like it's moving into a new era which the dawn of a new century would inherently be.

And it would further distinguish the Picard Series from Discovery.

I'm pretty sure they'll just redress the USS Discovery bridge with two extra chairs and a cutaway of the ship behind the captain's chair to stand in for the Enterprise-E (or -F or whatever) in The Picard Show

So we won't be seeing the refitted Enterprise-E's bridge as seen in the alternate ending of "Nemesis" here? (Too bad, love the seatbelt. I agree with Picard that "it's about time" :D:D)

As long as they don’t have bloody windows on the bridge. :)
At least they could have those silly holo communications in it. The novels have a few references of them using it, but with issues.

Depends. Some of the early designs are among the ugliest starships ever designed. Many of the latter ones are decent though, albeit often highly derivative.

Yup. Early stuff is awful. But since they Introduced t6 and set about polishing things up it’s got much better. So much so I think they do a good job now.

The skylights are fine. I’m just talking about the view screen.
Shuttles are not massive starships. It’s different there.

I think with the return of Voyager with the mobile emitter (probably being reverse-engineered) holograms will be a lot more common in daily life.

All of this!!! Yes!

There really isn't. A window is a window.

In fact, the windows on the Kelvin and DSC ships are even better as they can actually display information, unlike the shuttles.

The window debate is going on a decade old now. There's no way to change the opinion of a pro-window guy to be anti-window or vice-versa. But the fact remains is that all Trek prior to 2009 didn't use literal window viewscreens. Pro window people should try to understand that anti-window sentiment comes out of favoring tradition over novelty/glitz.
