Eaves' Discovery work is his post-Nemesis work. The Shenzhou was based on a NEM-era design he did for a fan group years before:

I'm really ready for season 3 of Nailed It. That's another show that has nothing to do with Trek that one can watch if they want to.Man I can’t wait for the Orville. Probably my most expected show this year.
That seems unlikely. They could incorporate the Star Trek Online ships and uniforms.
True. It would make too much sense. That seems unlikely.
I hope they don't have the "All Good Things" Uniforms.
True but since STO isn’t canon, they could use them earlier without causing issues.Plus it would be 10 years too soon for some STO stuff.
I really hope they go with softer, more organic shapes. Eavesian jagged hard lines is already used in DSC, softer shapes could suggest advancement and would also look less militaristic. He'll probably take it up a notch since it'll be the end of 24th Century, going into the 25th.
A lot of Eaves' designs always felt throwback to me. I associate 24th Century designs with more aquatic sea life designs. The Enterprise-D, Voyager, the Prometheus, etc. But that's all Rick Sternbach's work. Sternbach is more aerodynamic while Eaves goes for the harder lines, which I associate as "older".
I blame this on cars. When I was a little kid, they all looked like boxes. Then came the 1986 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable, and (much like the Galaxy Class) everything changed. Cars became more aerodynamic. More "modern" looking... Then that got sort-of thrown out the window since harder lines began to be re-introduced in 2000 and cars started to become more geometric-looking from about 2010 on.
So maybe harder lines and super-geometric is the future of starships in the Picard Series.

Depends. Some of the early designs are among the ugliest starships ever designed. Many of the latter ones are decent though, albeit often highly derivative. They could do worse than tap the STO guys.
