How do YOU do it?

If I'm served shrimp with the shell still on, sometimes I eat the whole thing instead of peeling the shell off. :alienblush:

Grab the seam between the fins and last section with 2 fingers, then squeeze. The shrimp meat will slide out from the shell. You can then either eat the shell or toss it. ;)

If it's deep fried I'll happily do it otherwise the texture of the shell I find too off putting. Though I don't find it that odd as I know a couple of people who grew up in SE Asia who will just crunch through prawns like it was nothing.

That's a good idea for righties too, actually. Nice to have the top end completely free/clear so you can use that top margin if need be. Of course, that enormous clip style went out with the 20th century, so... ;)

But this actually works nicely for regular pads too. If you're keeping pages attached, rolling them up requires you to extend the other hand forward to hold flat, unless you roll them under. But doing it from the bottom makes it easier. Heck you could just tuck the rollover against your abdomen and simplify things. Also nice to have that top area completely free/clear.

If fried a good long while, the shell becomes brittle enough to crunch through. But... I hate to think of all the random chance fragment shapes that could be created, with pointed edges. Imagine that getting caught in your throat or intestines. No thank you!

Such thin shells get dissolved by the stomach acid pretty quickly, so they are no danger for your intestines (but one for the esophagus). Nevertheless, I prefer my prawns shelled. I grab them at the chest and at the lower third of the tail and twist slightly to loosen the flesh from the shell. Then I stretch the animal fully and pull off the tail shell and then the front part of the shell. If they are well cooked they will slide out of the shell quite smoothly.
here's a video that shows this method. (Scroll forward 45 secs to see it in slow motion)

Does anyone happen to have a good method to fold up bras orderly? My auntie taught me a perfect method for folding unmentionables but nobody I know has a really good method for folding bras (unwired ones) so that the bra-drawer's contents doesn't look chaotic.

Maximum amount of garbage in can before you take it out as finished. Or just sorta full and not pressed or compressed,..

Mine is the latter such that I have spilled garbage from a bad bag that opens up on the bottom too many times from over filling,..

Banana- thumb with nail goes into banana just below stem breaking banana skin and making pealing easy ,.

Left foot in pants first

Right handed

Pick nose with left index finger ..

Help! I'm drowning in tomatos!
Any recipe for drying or processing (ketchup, chutney, purree etc) and preserving them would be highly appreciated. My freezer is full to the brim, so that I need to find other ways to preserve them.
(for the tomato geeks among us: I have Green Zebra, Tigerella, Burpee's Jubilee, Pink Brandywine and Flowerbox Tomato)

Are you guys seriously in here eating shrimp with the shell still on? I'm fanatical for total shell removal.
Thanks for sharing the Krabben pulen video.

Pomatoes are potatoes on a tomato plant... grafted but saving space..

I keep mine unhooked in my drawer and unfolded, then I stack them against each other. I sometimes stick the matching bottoms in between the middle part, also.
