Ethan Peck cast as DSC's Spock

Really? Well she is a shapeshifter so that would help. :)
I thought she is in Librarians? Is that show finished?

Sadly, THE LIBRARIANS has been cancelled after four seasons . . . although there's still one more novel coming out.

If you can't get me interested in the characters I won't watch for very long, whether it's a prequel or otherwise. Right now, the only salvation I see to season 2 of Discovery is The Cage crew recast. And we don't even know yet how that's going to work.

And Spock a few times as well.

Spock only lost his shirt once--in "Patterns of Force."

But, seriously, what STAR TREK show or movie hasn't cast physically attractive actors to up the show's sex appeal? DISCO isn't "pandering" any more than any other Trek show has.

Which is not to say that Shatner or Martina Sirtis or Jeri Ryan or Chris Pine or whomever didn't have other things going for them as well. I'm sure Peck wasn't cast just because he's physically fit.

They're actors, playing heroic StarFleet characters, of course they'll cast attractive people. LOL

Why would they do otherwise?

Discovery is just another series set in the Star Trek universe. It's no more a prequel to TOS than DS9 and Voyager are sequels to TNG. The only thing tying Discovery to TOS is Burnham's never before mentioned link to Spock.

It meets the dictionary definition of a prequel, so it is a prequel.

Have people already starting calling him Speck?
