I feel eventually that the timeline will be filled up and show writers/producers will run out of ideas to create another Star Trek show.

That's not how business generally works. If something is doing poorly, you usually fire the people involved. Not give them more money and projects to work on.

Success is relative. There’s nothing I’ve seen in the All Access hopper that can rival the potential subscriber numbers of more Star Trek. The last Twilight Zone reboot couldn’t last more than a season when it was free.

Fair enough. I just know people who work in Hollywood and film production but that's my experience, not yours.

We don't have american numbers, but it was hitting around 1 to 1.3 million for almost every episode in Canada.

But honestly I suspect they will do an "Angela Lansbury" on him. When she got too old they re-jiggered the show so that she could act mostly as a narrator. It cut her workload down to a fraction.

You know it's crime that Star Trek hasn't used her lol.

My Dad says Patrick Stewart is too old to start another Star Trek show and I agree with that.
But how could it possibly work if he is alot older and a short lifespan left?

He'll be a senile old Picard rambling on about Michael Burnham and Spore Drives in some nursing home.
