When and how will DSC crossover with the TNG sequel?

So far enough away from the novelverse that it's in the past, but years before the game kicks off.

I don't think they will intentionally overwrite anything just because. At the same time, I don't think they will be overly worried about contradicting either one in the name of the story.

Well, no. If you were any kind of real writer, you'd know what a cameo is. Nemesis isn't about Janeway, the new Picard series is about the continuing adventures of the central character of Star Trek: The Next Generation, which makes it a sequel.

You said, in your argument, that a sequel is "the continuation of a previous character/story"; Janeway's appearance in Nemesis is exactly that.

Nice try to wiggle out of your own faulty logic, though.

I just assumed you knew what a cameo was. I forgot who I was talking to.

It doesn't matter what the size of Janeway's role in Nemesis was; applying the logic of your own argument, the fact that her appearance in that film continues her story - which it does - means that Nemesis becomes a Voyager sequel simply by virtue of her appearance in it.

The time period they've picked means that they probably won't have to mention any of it anyway. The plot each week should be full enough to not slow down and fill even some fans in on 20 years of history.

I'm talking holograms, holographic glass screens and whatnot. The Enterprise-E didn't have those. Voyager's holograms were limited to sickbay and the holodeck.

How do you make your Picard show look like it's set 150 years further in the future when you've already retconned far more advanced stuff into the mid-23rd century?

As I squint, I think to myself.... It sounds to me like you're reaching. Or I just don't care. One way or the other, I guess my threshold is different.

When Discovery has something like the EMH, then I'll start questioning Disco's technology level.

^ Or you can admit that you made a dumb and faulty argument and we can both move on to other things.

Or, you can admit you're being pedantic for the sake of being pedantic. Which is your MO when you are wrong. Looking for any technicality to claim victory. Because pretty much every other person on the planet knew what I was talking about.

So is Star Trek Nemesis a sequel to Voyager? Because that's what your logic is saying.
It's not a direct sequel, but it's set after it, so you could consider it a sequel, similar to how Avengers: Infinity War is considered a direct sequel to both Captain America: Civil War and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

This new series is a sequel to Nemesis. Get off your high horse with semantics, equestrian is not a good look on you.

I'm not the only person who disagreed with you referring to this Picard series as a TNG sequel, so, again, nice try.

You're clearly not going to recognize how dumb your logic was, though, and I'm tired of arguing with you, so I'm moving on.

Who are these imaginary people you speak of?

I don't see anyone other then you disagreeing with him.

So I just made this poster and his/her comments up?
And it's not a TNG sequel so squash that right now.

Yeah I do not agree with this at all. It's not a continuation of TNG, it's a continuation of one character, Picard.

We're not going to be watching the Enterprise D go to a new planet each week.

If we call this a TNG sequel people will expect that. And
that's not what this is.

So what would qualify it as a sequel to TNG? Do some folks seriously think that Riker, Worf, Data, Troi, Beverly Crusher, Wesley Crusher, LaForge, Guinan won't be making appearances?

Have these folks not watched Discovery? :guffaw:
