When and how will DSC crossover with the TNG sequel?

Pretty much is - "this is what happened to Picard from TNG" is kind of what a sequel is. Same way Logan was a sequel to his previous appearances as Professor X.

Yeah I do not agree with this at all. It's not a continuation of TNG, it's a continuation of one character, Picard.
We're not going to be watching the Enterprise D go to a new planet each week.
If we call this a TNG sequel people will expect that. And that's not what this is.

The red anomalies are time holes. That pretty much writes itself.

Or maybe the Borg. Michael gets assimilated and meets Locutus’s katra in the collective.

Or Q.

It doesn't need to nor should it.

A little gold model of discovery in some admirals office is enough.

I like Discovery but shoehorning a crossover in would just be cringe.

No; a "TNG sequel" would involve the entirety of that series' cast, not just one member of it.

Sir Patrick said it was set 20 years after Nemesis, making it 2399. Turn of the century.

I do wonder if maybe the show will take place in more than one time period? Ambassador Picard as a piece of the story, while another piece takes place with a young Picard on the Stargazer.

It is the continuation of a previous character/story. So, it is a sequel. You have weird definitions for pretty much everything.

So is Star Trek Nemesis a sequel to Voyager? Because that's what your logic is saying.
What? That doesn’t follow what he said at all.

Nemisis didn’t focus on Janeway, she was a glorified cameo.

If she and some of the other crew had shown up as side characters, then yes, it would be a sequel to both.

Well, no. If you were any kind of real writer, you'd know what a cameo is. Nemesis isn't about Janeway, the new Picard series is about the continuing adventures of the central character of Star Trek: The Next Generation, which makes it a sequel.

If they let Picard drop a word about how the spore drive finally turned out a bad idea or that Spock had a human sister, they’ll have someone from the future, and also trek royalty, stop those „why haven’t we ever heard about it in the future“-arguments.

Oh, they are so smart. That’s the only reason, the Picard-show is being made.

It really, really wouldn't. What a Picard series made by the same folks as Discovery say about a show that aired fifty years ago that they had no part of wouldn't change anything about how I feel about them messing with Spock.

I bet if TNG or another 24th century franchise had gotten a movie there would have been a reference to ENT in there.

Like Nemisis already had a USS ARCHER, but that really isn’t a solid link.

20 years after Nemesis
18 years after the Caelier Event
12 years after the Hobus Event
6 or so years before Star Trek: Online

So far enough away from the novelverseKelvinverses that it's in the past, but years before the game kicks off.

I'm pretty sure it was intended as a nod towards Enterprise. But that is a wink-nod done right. The USS Archer isn't the story, it is a nod towards the new show that rewards fans who are paying attention.
