Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I wish they would let people subscribe and start issue X. It takes forever for them to add ships to their website.

not mine, but photos of the qugh-class and U-not I-SS buran prototypes:

once again we have ships from discovery that i do not love, that somehow look great as physical models that i will probably end up blowing my money on.

oh, they also announced the discovery enterprise and federation starbase:

But I thought they already revealed they were doing the Discoprise officially a few months ago on Twitter. That’s what it said on Memory Alpha.
Wont be till the very end though. There a risk people would cancel their subs if they released it now.

i'm not sure what they said about it during the panel, but we'll find out shortly.

Heh...at least they haven't tried passing off a cheap Brittain/Brattain repaint yet. :D

I am looking forward to the Antares variant, though.

The magazine for the Voyager prototype was still in work the last time I talked to Eaglemoss, which was just in the last week or so.

My order slip did state something was backordered so that’s probably it. Was the Eaglemoss model based off your physical model or a concept drawing? I’ve noticed some differences comparing the physical model above to the Eaglemoss version. There seems to be a shuttlebay at the end of the primary hull section for example that I’ve seen in some drawings but not on the physical mock-up.

Eaglemoss Starship Models Twitter Page just announced two more. I guess 137 & 138 ?

Xindi Humanoid
USS Lantree

The Primates were the last of the Xindi races to have a model of their signature ship, but it's still maddening that the most frequently-seen Xindi ship, Degra's ship, still hasn't gotten a model yet.

I have Reliant, Bozeman, and Saratoga... Lantree might be a Miranda variant too far for me.

Yeah, they're pushing it, but it might be nice to have a Miranda without a roll bar like the Reliant or extra bits on the side or back like the Bozeman and Saratoga. I wonder what the magazine article will be about. Dr. Pulaski, perhaps? Or maybe something on the history of genetic engineering in Star Trek.

Me too.

Give them some credit, though, so far, apart from the Enterprise-A and a few specials like the mirror universe special, the Yorktown special, and the glow-in-the-dark Defiant 1764, they haven't made ships of the same class unless they were clearly distinct variants (Excelsior/Enterprise-B, Reliant/Saratoga, Equinox/Rhode Island, Honshu/Phoenix), though I admit, I wouldn't mind a Columbia NX-02

I'm curious what that magazine will be about too. Maybe an interview with Rick.

Still no Scimitar as well. I think that’s the most noticeable ship not made yet.
I read that the Narada would be too hard to make because of all the points.

there's still a few glaring omissions: miradorn raider, yridian destroyer, t'plana hath-lander, son'a starships, borg scout ship, karemma starship, a number of shuttlecraft including the galileo from star trek V...

The Borg Scout ship is coming, and the shuttlecraft are a different range.
I believe the reason we haven’t seen any Son’a ships is because the models for it were lost after Insurrection. There are some fan ones out there but no “official” ones.

The first USS Glenn I've seen popped up on the US Ebay today. It's already been bid up to $255 last time I looked & still has 6 days left. Crazy for what's a relabeled Discovery. It retailed for $80 at the convention. Kind of makes me want to fine a way to New York Comic Con if Eaglemoss will have any there.

Apparently, it comes with the magazine for the Discovery.
